Maia is Bi-polar and if she's not willing to take her medication there's nothing anyone can do short of committing her to a hospital against her will. I think this is a tragedy and it's time to remove the stigma of mental illness. Too many people of color especially don't get the help they need and this is a classic case.

Her mom the late Bebe Campbell-Moore died not too long ago. About a year ago. Her mother tried to take care of her and had her commited several years ago. She wrote her last book "72 Hour Hold" about her. She is in my prayers. I hope she finds peace.
