I think if the prom is catering to kids as well as the teenagers, there's nothing wrong with it. Unfortunately, There's alot of highschool teen that have kids. It could be kind of cute, if thats part of the whole set up
Are they going to a hotel afterwards too? If you have enough $$$ for the clothes, limo, etc, then you have enough $$$ for a babysitter, please!!! (And no, I'm not in high school anymore.) I love my two, but do they go everywhere with me? Hardly. There's just a time and a place and this isn't one of them....
this is a hotmess. and no you should not be bringing your kids to the prom if you cant get a babysitter then you cant go. thats the breaks for having a kid in high school. deal with it. next time be smarter
I am so mad at that! That's why these kids grow up so fast, thinking that they can do eveything they see there mom & dads do. Let kids have a chance to be kids. if they do everything before is thier time, what will be left? what will they have to look forward to?
The biggest mistake was having a kids in high school, but since the damage is done, what is wrong with giving the parents and thier kids a party. There's no alcohol no drugs, whats the problem? They could just leave the baby at home alone sleep, or leave it with someone thats just going to drugs around the baby. This could be a way to maybe even help the mother.
This poor child would rather be at her Nana's house watching Dora & Diego than being forced to be mommy & daddy's little ghetto assessory. Don't she look like she wanna kick both of their asses right about now?
Will someone please expain this "ghetto prom" thing to me? Why would anyone dress like that? Did this entire thing start off as a joke to see who would/could wear the most outrageous outfits to the prom and it just took off?
Can you imagine yrs from now looking at your prom pictures with your kids and trying to explain to them that you and your date really dressed like that on purpose?
people on this board must be some perfect motherfuckers, because you guys talk about people like your shit don't stink. If you can't be honest with no one else be honest with your self. I think the mama is the daughter look cute. Stop hatin so damn much.
I know damn well that big bitch is not..I repeat not in High school..and isn't that the comedian Shawty..from the Young Joc video...well maybe homegirl didn't have a baby-sitter for prom...Aww hell naw..ol girl is not in high school...what like a 4 year senior...please!!!!This chick need to be at the club..not a damn high school prom...
You can look at this as being both positive and negative. POSITIVE SIDE: I honestly think it teaches these young parents that sometimes you have to sacrifice being a mother and risk having fun with your friends after prom, it also teaches other young females out there with no children to take additional protection when engaging in sexual activities because that could be them. It also shows other teenagers ( both male and female) who was planning on knocking boots after that prom to practice safe sex, just think of it how many teenagers after that prom actually went home the next day not worried about being a mother or father because of a simple mistake in not taking precaution and using protection. NEGATIVELY: Alot of things can happen at prom, fights can start, children can bring guns to the prom and that innocent child can be right there and get injuried or worst. Not only that but by 1000 maybe 1130pm that little baby will be fast asleep regardless of the loud music, that can lead up to either the mother going home early or going to a hotel room and getting knocked up again. Teenagers tend to drink before, during, and after the prom and that little baby who should be at home in a safe haven could just be riding with someone who wants to play russian rulet with their lives. Look at it on having a positive affect as well as a negative.

I think the mother and daughter look cute, some you sorry ass parents need to get more into your kids instead of always shipping them off to a baby sitter to do who know what to them, it shows she care about her child enough to make her look just as good as her. Try it.
Thats not cute whatsoever. She shouldn't be glorifying that she obviously had a baby at such a young age. Think about it, thats most likely senior prom, and that baby looks to be about what? 3-5? So that girl probably had that baby between the ages of maybe 13-15....something like that. That baby should have been at home...with whoever. Not at the damn prom.
The baby isn't really what bothers me. If you want to bring your kid to the dance as a sort of accessory then hey do you. But what in hot hell is going on with the (I'm hoping) babydaddy? He looks like he's about to go strip after prom is over. Kids need guidance and leadership.
Since when is it cute to be a teenage mother and then bring the child to the prom? These kids are killing me now a days with this. If they couldn't find a babysitter they should've stayed their ass at home. Prom is NOT a family festivity. They wanted a baby so they should stay at home and take care of that baby, thats how life goes!
Parents: please let ur daughter's hair GROW, before you put that foolywang shit in it.. Barrettes, and clips dont look good, on 1/2 cm of hair. God bless that baby.
2) At first, I thought Baby Daddy was shirtless, but the pink accents are draped over a red vest. (is it me or does he look like a young Carl Anthony Payne?)
3) That poor baby is at least 18-24 months old. She looks a bit upset if you ask me.
4) Do you see the hemline on the front of Baby Mama's "dress?" Could it be any shorter? WTF!?!? It's like a doggy door to her nether parts.
I totally agree that these two are using that child as an "accessory" -- guess teenage momma couldn't afford a teacup yorkie. That baby does not look happy and should probably be in bed within an hour. Ri-damn-diculous.
It's just a picture. It's impossible to know whether that kid is happy or not unless you were there watching every step the family took that day. I'm sure she's fine. She's with her mom and that's what kids wants. I don't see anything wrong with this picture. They look good together. People just love to criticize for no reason.
There is a time and place for everything and thank goodness I was smart enough not to be a teenage mother. Even if I was, I wouldn't take my child to my prom. I'm around young adults, and I just don't think a child would like to be the only child at an event. I know, they are cute, mother & daughter dressed alike. But naw. If it were a kiddie prom, yes by all means. They do have those you know, and the kids get to interact with children their own age. So I don't know about all this. And, yeah the dude is what really makes this pic ghetto. WTF is that sh!t wrapped around him for? LMAO
Okay people, the pic was taken during the day! We all should be saying if this is what kept that TEENAGE mother in school then so be it. I think this was a cool idea. One less welfare mother to take care of, one more future positive black mother GRADUATING! So Yea for me!
At least she took her baby w/ her instead of dumping her off on granny. and why the fuck everything has to be ghetto this and ghetto that?!?! most of ya'll mofos probably ain't even been to the damn ghetto!
At least she took her baby with her???? Are you for real?
She shoulda stayed her ass home or got someone to babysit. Obviously someone was available to babysit while she finished school - IF she finished...cause this could very well be baby daddy's prom and not necessarily the moms.
It doesn't matter how cute the kid is...or how cute they collectively look together...or what time of the day it is...this is not an event for children.
They got some hipacrits on this post, how do some of you know that the prom wasn't set up for kids, baloons, cake icecream. I highly doubt a prom is going to let kids come if there not set up for kids. Its called a lawsuit... I think its an excellent idea and more proms should start thinking about this idea, its during the day. Damn would you rather see her home on welfare, then you motherfuckers would really have some shit to talk about.
That's why I said if it was a kiddie prom, then yes by all means. Hopefully she is graduating, and I wish her the best. I believe the question was would YOU bring YOUR child to a prom. My answer is no, unless it was a childrens prom.
Maybe she couldn't find a baby sitter but I would not think it would be safe or if I want my baby around a bunch of teenagers when they are out to have fun. The baby does look cute though in a matching outfit to her mommy. Leave it to our people to come up with original stuff. lol
Do you even know the meaning of a hypocrite? People disagreed with a teenager bringing her toddler to a prom. That is not hypocritical. It's called having an opinion.
Also what does her sitting at home on welfare have to do with parents leaving their kids home instead of bringing them to a prom? Not a mutha fuckin thing. Apples to oranges.
Last, what kind of school has a prom that caters to teen parents and their babies? It just doesn't happen. And why should it? Why should EVERYONE be robbed of a REAL PROM? They shouldn't.

Who are you...u sound dumb as hell, who has ever went to a prom that was during the day? Its probably late that evening. That baby should be at home, when the idea presented itself, it was probably cute, but to actually go along with it...no ma'am. I can see them forming a circle around the baby going "Go Tee Tee, Go Tee Tee" while the baby pop lock and drops it...LMAO
I can't believe some of the people on here think those are some hot outfits...are you serious? Cheap fabric, ghetto hairstyles and why does that baby have so many ribbons in her hair? Seriously people pick up a magazine sometimes and get some style tips.lmao @ this foolishness. No you shouldn't bring your kids to the prom,if you were grown enough to have kids during high school instead of focusing on GRADUATING then you need to be an adult and take care of your kids AT HOME.Prom is for kids not so called "grown folks" lol@that
Why for how come lil momma can't flash her coochie like big momma? But for real, the answer is hecks no unless it was at Chuck E. Cheese, cuz see that is where babies go. But since this for the older set, not Chucksters, the baby don't go. There is a time and a place for everything and if my prom catered to some hoes that got knocked up I would be pissed. School ain't a damn daycare, and my prom sure as hell aint either, or any other even that is set up for an evening of young adults getting an opportunity to get dressed up and have an evening out.
First of all, how do we know the kid actually attended the prom? For all we know, she just may have been dressed up to take pictures BEFORE the actual prom.
That being said, if the child attended the actual prom (the dancing, etc.), then that's not cute, but as far as I can see these are just pictures outside of the school. If any of you saw the other pictures, there were regular people there (not dressed up). Perhaps grandma was there to take the kid away once the pictures were taken (perhaps Grandma took pictures of her own with them together. We don't know.).
*sigh* Maybe it's just me wanting to give these folks the benefit of the doubt more than anything though...
This is not cute or acceptable. Why is it safer to believe this child actually attended the prom? She has the same fugly ass dress on as her mama. If they were just taking K-Mart pics, a nice coordinated outfit instead of a matching outfit...we would've cut her a little more slack.
1. Just because she's a teenage mom, doesn't mean she's a ho...but it does make her a mom, and she's not really mothering here, is she?
2. It's ghetto. Ghetto isn't a black or white thing, it's a state of mind. As in, it's ok to bring my child in the same outfit as me to a completely adult event. I don't even like it when people bring their babies to the restaurant, I SURE as hell would be distressed to see it at my prom.
3. That dude looks like shit in that outfit. Get a fucking suit that doesn't coordinate with my dress, fool.
4. I hope, HOPE! that these two got married. I'm sick and fucking tired of black women as baby mommas. If I'm good enough to knock up, then I'm good enough to marry.
Many proms are in may or June, when the day lasts longer. That pic could be at 6:00 or 7:00pm. That child is at LEAST 2 years old, and she's at a prom with her mom. That's just sad.
And no, I haven't been to the ghetto...why would I WANT to go there?! Stop glorifying the ghetto, idiots! Even 50 fucking cents lives in Connecticutt now... damn...
A prom is not for a child to attend. there is nothing cute about bringing your child to a adult event. They both look like a hot mess, and I feel sorry for her child. Proms should stay childless. Whats next, bringing your pets to the prom. I'm not saying she should be ashamed of her child, but that was not the proper time or place. that is foolywang material for real people.
i am just mad that the momma couldnt afford to get her edges skrait! with all that damn brown gel! the baby is cute, but "she-she" look like she is str8 outta 1995 with them damn beads! please don't tell me that's foil on the ends1 better than snap-on braids, though. and last but not least: the sperm-donor?/baby-daddy?/escort? WHY did Ms. Shemleetha HAVE to make him a nun-chuck holder out of the leftover scraps of material? I'm done!!!
LMAO Y'all acting like she has commited some kind of awful crime or something. Whether you agree or not to bring her kid to her prom still the hate towards the young teenage girl is just crazy. A lot of hateful people on here.
Shes a mom, thats her reality now. No reason to bash her for it after the fact... No one can make it any harder on her than shes already made it on herself.
Mothers of all ages need time away from kids to enjoy themselves. Teenage mothers included!
She shouldnt have to miss prom any more than a married older woman should miss an anniversary dinner with her husband, just because she is a mom. Thats bullshit!
That being said. SHE should be enjoying HER prom, NOT the baby!!! Its the schools fault for allowing that shit though.
It sends a bad message (folks, some kids think that being a teenage mom is cute and easy because chicks like this bring babies around everywhere like an accessory).
Now if theres a high rate of teenage mothers in this area, then perhaps some sort of child care could be set up on the campus AWAY from the actual prom.
The really fucked up part is that this is so fucking selfish to bring that type of vibe to the prom. The other students deserve to get their party on in a young, carefree environment.
No, she shouldnt be ashamed to be a mom, but at the same time she shouldnt be imposing her heavy ass life circumstances on the kids that are there, being kids, and just trying to enjoy an important night that is meant to be light and to hold memories of a carefree time in their lives... you know, before everyone gets out there and has to deal with the harsh realities that come along with adulthood.
I think it is rude to the people who don't have kids. Who wants to remember their prom with a shit load of bad ass kids running and screaming all around you? Not me. And Im sorry those outfits just look stupid. ALL OF THEM!
yall need to shut the hell up and go look at all the ghetto ness right in your own damn family. I"m sure you can find some shit that makes this girl look like princess diana. Black people can be so full of shit when they want to, when they home struggling to do what needs to be done, then they ghetto, they come on this board and don't know what the fuck they are.
I think that people try to be to flawless. It's not that she is glorifying teenage motherhood. Nobody is perfect and now that the baby is here, have fun and enjoy yo damn life. I am also pretty sure at the end of the day she was not really worried about the bullshit that people would have to say about it either. She just enjoying her life wit her baby, It's really not that serious. You only live ONCE, enjoy yo fuckin life.
Why the hell is people saying maybe she didn't have a babysitter, obviously if she got lil mama the dress it was planned, and I really don't appreciate this blog cause some of ya'll on here white. And ya'll don't have a clue.
Can we hold on to some tradition? We are becoming way to "free spirit" with everything in life. I'm pretty sure there was a girl or two who dreamed about this night for as long as they can remember. I'm pretty sure they didn't imagine some little kid running around all night. See, it's steps to growing up, unfortunately some choose to skip growing and go straight to grown. She's one of those that chose to be grown. Choices and consequences people. We need to go back to teaching the kids about choice and consequence.
And for those that think it's cute or she's "doing her thang"...It's not cute and see what happen the last time she was doing her thang.
11.28 You can't shelter your child from reality, its a wake up call. That same girl you looking at may get a better job then the one that's been dreaming about this day as long as she can remember. Life is not about a pretty dress and shoes, its time to think about the future. Once you leave high school you are a young adult. Stop looking down at her because she made a mistake i'm sure you have a few of them, that you had to except and get over.
Yes, glorifying the ghetto. I said that LOUD and fucking clear.
Ghettos were originally places where Jewish people were held to keep them separate from other societies in Europe back in the day (like the 1500s). They were forced to live in worse conditions. Fast fwd to today, where the ghetto is glamourized.
Funny how everyone famous who uses the ghetto as street cred doesn't really live there. And funny how people who don't want to elevate themselves glorify it.
Maybe I sound bourgie, maybe it's my caribbean upbringing, but if you have a kid, and you want to party...you get a babysitter. I want to girl to experience some of the fun stuff without the baggage.
LOL I can't believe that this topic got so many angry comments? Maybe it's because she reminds you of yourself and you're ashamed and you don't like that
Yea or nay......HELL NAW! I bet this pic is on that hotghettomess website. Why would you bring your baby to the prom? That is ignorance to a whole new level. And WHY didn't you tell the seamstress to make your dress in the NEXT BIGGER SIZE? Dayum!
I WONDER HOW MANY HIGH SCHOOL DROP OUTS ON THIS BOARD, PROBABLY ALL THE ONES TALKING SHIT. NEXT TIME BRING YOUR KID IF THAT WHAT IT TAKES TO GET THE HELL OUT OF THERE.
Just plain tacky, with or without the baby in tow. The dress is all hugged up on the lumpy parts of her body and that baby is just look beat. Just my opinion.
Hell, talking shit about folks is why this forum exists - read the disclaimer if you wanna act like your ass didn't know bitches!
The kid should be home...doing kid shit...dressed like a damn kid and minus all that shit in her hair!
Shit like this really pisses me off. Just shows for every one Black person who gets ahead and truly LEARNS how to parlay their education and home training...there are ignorant biatches like this one who prove that there are plenty of backward ass Black folk out there!
"Plenty of backward ass black folks out there"...and yes you're one of them.
The little girl's hair look nice and the way she's dressed at that particular moment doesn't hurt her or anyone else. Why bring up race? There are many teen moms of all races. This is not about race. That young woman doesn't speak or act for the black race. She's her own person and none of us know anything about her, if she's good in school her education what type of person she is....etc. Still at least 110 of 114 comments are just extremely rude because of that picture. That's just insane SMH. Talk about overreacting.
This is not about the race of any teen mom...did you actually READ my post?? Wait...but did you COMPREHEND the words on the screen???
Clearly you did not.
I did not indicate or specifically write that this woman REPRESENTS the whole of the Black race...I hate stupid ass motherfuckers who can't read with understanding. People such as yourself Anon 4:24pm
That little girl's hair looks horrible. THERE IS TOO MUCH GOING ON!! I can only imagine what you must look like if you that shit is cute.
If you think they are not hurting anyone then you find out where she went to prom, so you can poll the rest of the prom-goers...guarantee you the rest of the guests didn't think it was cute for others to bring their damn kids!
Yes, there's absolutely nothing wrong with her hair. That looks nice on a "little girl"...Many african girls wear their hair like that, and yes it does look good on little girls.
I don't know where she went to prom but she did bring her kid to her prom (It looks like that anyway)so obviously people thought it was OK and maybe she wasn't the only one, who knows. That her action makes people on this board so angry is just crazy, I don't get that. Also why all the cussing? It seems like majority of the folks on this board can't put many sentences together without using words like motherfucker, bitch, fuck, ho, shit...etc
To all the Black bourgeois posting on this blog - your indignation is wasted.
Lead by example - stop wasting your energy hating on "ghetto-messes" and try changing the slave mentality of the ghetto from the inside of your own hip-hop loving, Tyler Perry watching, blood diamonds-buying homes.
Wow, bringing your child to the prom is RIDICULOUS!! Granted I can understand that having a child in high school and then graduating is a great accomplishment in itself, but bringing your child and ya baby daddy with u to YOUR special day is OUTRAGEOUS!! Perhaps the prom will be the greatest highlight/accomplishment in their lives, but I really hope they see the bigger picture down the line before it's too late. Honestly, could u imagine looking at ya momma's prom picture and seeing that YOU were there as a baby??!?!?!?!?!?!!! When will my people finally wake up??? (shaking my head)
Ok, not a cross word to any teenage mothers out there, since I don't have any rugrats and refuse to until I have my Ph.D, but HELL TO THE MUTHAFUNKIN NO!!!!! Who in the hell would take their child to the prom. I highly doubt the high school has a day care center set up so people could drop off their children as they left, but if they do GOD HELP US ALL.
IT IS NOT OK TO TAKE YOUR DAMNED KIDS TO THE PROM. Black folks (and I am one) need to stop doing ignorant shyt. Kids do not belong at prom. Prom is an event for HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS. Anyone who thinks that mess is cute proably started having babies at 14. IGNORANT. This is why all other races think we are stupid. STAY AT HOME WITH YOUR DAMNED BABIES. You don't get to do prom because your fast ass was out having unprotected sex instead of studying. DAMN.
OK, so not only did she bring her about 2 yr old child to the prom... But I'll be damned if that chick's dress dont stop right under her coochie. It's a shame that a person would do something like this period. I do not care what color you are...You just don't do shit like that. Feel Me???
wow i dont even know what to say about that, did they have to buy her a ticket?
i was reading in the paper kids these days are having prom babies(gettin knocked up on prom night on purpose) to avoid the pressures or the real world i.e. college, their own damn paycheck to waste
First off these little nasty girls ned to stop messing around with these low budget corner boys thinking they are so cool to hang with and get pregnant with and start looking for men with goals and trying to be something. That looks a damn mess to have a 17-18 year old on a prom with therir kids. So in other words they are teaching their kids to have babies at a young age so they can take them on their prom in the future. The black race is truly lost wake up and get ya'll stuff together.
I don't even know yall, and i'll bet 80% of you hypocrit mother fuckers never even graduated. You need to go home and talk shit about all those ghetto ass neices and nephew in your family. yall on this board like you all that and in reality you aint got shit.
This is not okay, ever! I don't care if you are black, white, purple, red, rich, poor, or whatever, this is not okay. This young lady should not be stigmatized and degraded because she may have made a not so smart decision about 3 years ago, HOWEVER, that is no excuse as to why in the blue hell she brought her baby to prom. My answer is NOOOOOOOOOOOOO I would not have exposed my child to prom BEFORE he/she entered high school.
I was initially going to say what in the infernal hotness of brimstoney hell is going on round here, but then I saw this:
Begin Quote-- "Anonymous said... But what about the dude that got straps going across his chest. They must of had more of that shiny fabric than they throught.
"So what are we going to do with this extra fabric? We made 2 dresses and we even made a belt for your suit. We cant throw it out!!
Hey!! I got an idea!! Lets wrap some of that around my chest! That'll be fly!!" End Quote
And then I just dissolved into tears of laughter. I'm so glad I found this blog. Work shalt never again be-eth quite ever-so boring.
First off the gifrl in the picture is my sister and she is with her boyfriend. The little girl in the picture is my daughter. We thought it would be cute to take pictures of my daughter with her favorite aunt. She DID NOT attend the prom. These pictures were taken by my mom before the prom. Now what the guy has on is just ridiculous. So all you guys need to lay off.
I'm just kidding. I don't know these folks. This is just sad. I believe it was Laurence Fishburne who yelled WAKE UP!!!! in School Daze.
This is real sad, I thought a punishment for having a baby as a teenager would be not going to prom, not taking your baby that looks at least 2 years old to prom with you. and wearing a matching ugly dress. That is HOT GHETTO MESS!!!
Short answer: Were I a high school mom, no, I would not take my baby to the prom. In fact, I wouldn't take anyone other than my date. That is the way proms work, as I understand them. You either go alone, go with friends, or go with a date.
Long answer: I read through all the prior posts and have some comments. My comments are long, so if you can't read for understanding, just stick to the short answer.
Just a few comments:
1) While it is true that I graduated from high school almost 20 years ago, I don't recall that prom was reserved for graduates. If I recall correctly, prom attendance is determined by either class standing (JUNIOR prom for juniors, SENIOR prom for seniors) or by invitation (a freshman could go as the date of a senior). Our prom was held before graduation. The assumption that all prom attendees are high school graduates (I suspect) is erroneous.
2) Before you even start hating, I am African-American. Don't trip. Writing in complete sentences, and not applauding what we see in this picture doesn't make people white or bourgie. It just shows that we take our education seriously and don't feel ashamed to write like we have one. I encourage more people to do it.
3)I feel like anyone who is posting here is techno-savvy enough to understand the beauty AND NECESSITY of spell check. True, spell check doesn't always catch everything, but many of these posts clearly were not spell checked. Take the extra time. In this country, what bell hooks calls a White Supremacist Capitalist Patriarchy (if you are a person of color and don't know of this, look it up. NOW), people of color cannot afford to be lazy. We are constantly under scrutiny from people who love to tell us how inferior we are - including ourselves. Take pride and ownership in your words - spoken or written.
3) For all the folks who object to the use of the word ghetto, I offer this: low-class. And no, I don't mean poor, or low socioeconomic level, because those things are not synonymous with having a low amount of class. The outfits are not classy. Period. The hemline of the older girl is inappropriate beyond measure. The cut of the baby girl's dress is similarly inappropriate. A large factor contributing to the high rate of teenage pregnancy (among girls of all colors and income levels and educational backgrounds) is the way in which they are sexualized at an early age. (Before you ask, I know because I am focusing on this in my PhD research). A child that age needs to be wearing age appropriate clothing. A form fitting dress that is for all intents and purposes strapless, with slits that almost reach the waist is not appropriate for a child of any age. I am conservative enough to think it isn't appropriate for the woman we assume is her mother. The young man's outfit is so comical that I won't even bother commenting further on it. The folks in the picture are simply not classy. I grew up relatively poor, but I had (and still have) class.
4)Unless proms have changed drastically in their intent, a prom is not a place for a young child. If they indeed took the child with them to the prom, then I think that is inappropriate behavior. To me, it shows a lack of good judgment. Poor judgment as a parent affects parent and child alike. Unless the prom was specifically set up for parents to bring children, off-site care should have been secured for the baby.
5) The baby's hair is too busy for a child that age. Children that age are typically very active. Beads hurt your head if you are an active child because they constantly bang against your head. Bad idea. I won't even get into the whole choking hazard issue if the baby (as children do) managed to get one of those things in her mouth. Poor parenting.
6)Finally! To the first poster who incorrectly spelled hypocrite: Perhaps you were thinking of another word? Hyper-critical? Because that would be appropriate. Many of the posts were hyper-critical, but that is what the original question, and this blog are all about. If that doesn't sit well with you, perhaps you could spend time at another blog site. Or flipping through a dictionary... just a suggestion.
Hell naw. Y would I bring my child to my prom?! That's so hood
But the question needs to be about wearing homemade dresses, cuz she looks.... no THEY look a mess. yes, a hot mess, especially with the bottom of the dress going all the way up to her hip!
That boi got some pretty long hair tho! "Oooh boi can I braid yo hur boo?" Too bad he look alil gay and straight retarded in that damn added fabric suit on
well, this is a first for me but i had to do it. I am not the "stay up all night on the net looking for things to comment about" because i do have a life, but a friend sent me several "ghetto prom pics" for my amusement & this was one of them! I am a 37 year old married mother of a 3 yr old daughter & it's obvious from this pic & all the other ones I have seen from Prom go-ers since about 2001, class, elegance and style are no longer an option! Where are the mothers, aunts or even the damn family friends that care that these young girls are going out looking like strippers to their Junior/Senior Proms? Don't know what's in the meat nowdays, but most of them are 30 lbs over weight & have disgusting fat & stretch marks hanging out of the cut-outs & now good and damn well they should not be strapless, backless, no cut-outs, none of that mess!!! I'm sure the whole 'hood knows she has a baby, so why bring baby girl to the prom? teen pregancy does not need anymore advertisement. I mean, own up to the responsibilty & raise your child, but at the end of the day, learn when & where to draw the line...I know somebody in the family has to have a little sense!
This is so fucking...there is no words. Its about damn time I see a teen parent party with their kids instead of leaving it with grandma for the night. Ill hold any vulgar comments for the next topic :D

well i don't no what to tell you i don't have any kids..... but this is very odd because they look horrible in those get ups lol
^^know^^^
I think if the prom is catering to kids as well as the teenagers, there's nothing wrong with it.
They look cute. Cute lil family
That aint nothing new...
I was in high school back in 1991-1995 and girls brought their kids to take senior pictures and prom pictures...
this is a hotmess. and no you should not be bringing your kids to the prom if you cant get a babysitter then you cant go. thats the breaks for having a kid in high school. deal with it. next time be smarter
I am so mad at that! That's why these kids grow up so fast, thinking that they can do eveything they see there mom & dads do. Let kids have a chance to be kids. if they do everything before is thier time, what will be left? what will they have to look forward to?
This is the biggest, hot ghetto ass mess I've ever seen.
Is that the "new ghetto"?
The biggest mistake was having a kids in high school, but since the damage is done, what is wrong with giving the parents and thier kids a party. There's no alcohol no drugs, whats the problem? They could just leave the baby at home alone sleep, or leave it with someone thats just going to drugs around the baby. This could be a way to maybe even help the mother.
granny must be trying to get it too, how come she couldn't babysit while ol girl went to the prom, that's just comedy right there.................lmao
this is that ghetto shit, this that ghetto shit.
by the way loooooooooooove the outfits you gotta coordinate, and they doin it..............WIPE ME DOWN
Oh, who cares. With or without kids, they're still ghetto. Can't you be bothered to post some bourgie prom pics?
Slow news day huh?
ride or die
i love it....
First!!
this is THE ghetto-ist shi* i have EVER seen. Im done.
Hell Naw!! (LMAO)
This ain't kosher!
This poor child would rather be at her Nana's house watching Dora & Diego than being forced to be mommy & daddy's little ghetto assessory. Don't she look like she wanna kick both of their asses right about now?
to anon 9:25, what prom did you go to that didn't have drugs and alcohol?
Will someone please expain this "ghetto prom" thing to me? Why would anyone dress like that? Did this entire thing start off as a joke to see who would/could wear the most outrageous outfits to the prom and it just took off?
Can you imagine yrs from now looking at your prom pictures with your kids and trying to explain to them that you and your date really dressed like that on purpose?
Look how old that baby is. That chic had enough time to lose that baby gut.
people on this board must be some perfect motherfuckers, because you guys talk about people like your shit don't stink. If you can't be honest with no one else be honest with your self. I think the mama is the daughter look cute. Stop hatin so damn much.
We know oh boy aint get no pussy that night! Bringing your kids would ruin the tradition of gettin PUSSY on prom night! LMAO
Makes me want to cry. Do they take the child to the club? Leave the baby home or keep your ass home. Give me a break!
That'll be fly!!"
WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That is far beyond GHETTO!
That's crazy. The school shouldn't even allow that kind of behavior. Glorifying teenage motherhood is not what's up.

@ 10:15...
Now that was the funniest comment yet!!! I was thinking the same thing but in my version they said "That will be tiiiiigggggght!!"
You can look at this as being both positive and negative.
POSITIVE SIDE:
I honestly think it teaches these young parents that sometimes you have to sacrifice being a mother and risk having fun with your friends after prom, it also teaches other young females out there with no children to take additional protection when engaging in sexual activities because that could be them. It also shows other teenagers ( both male and female) who was planning on knocking boots after that prom to practice safe sex, just think of it how many teenagers after that prom actually went home the next day not worried about being a mother or father because of a simple mistake in not taking precaution and using protection.
NEGATIVELY:
Alot of things can happen at prom, fights can start, children can bring guns to the prom and that innocent child can be right there and get injuried or worst.

Try it.
This is new but it is a cute trend to follow. Have a daycare set up so these kids can enjoy themselves!!!!
IT AIN'T HAVE TO BE SO DAMN HOOD.
was this in Flint?
or Dc?
and what the fuck is wrong with his sash?
It is a party for GRADUATES...not their children, not their parents, etc.
Lil mama should be at home with her Big Momma aka grandma!
am i the ONLY one who isn't ghetto-fabulous?!?!?!?!
the whole idea is a hot damn unadulterated mess
Black people need to stop...
Black people need to stop...
I just hope that is the baby's daddy.
Parents: please let ur daughter's hair GROW, before you put that foolywang shit in it.. Barrettes, and clips dont look good, on 1/2 cm of hair. God bless that baby.
At least they colour coordinate.
Nice looking family right there.
1) Surface-of-the-Sun-Hot mess.
Why would they even do that to there self. They look a whole hot mess,
WTF is this foolishness!
poor baby!
LMAO
this is as tacky as james brown bein late to his own funeral.
Okay people, the pic was taken during the day! We all should be saying if this is what kept that TEENAGE mother in school then so be it. I think this was a cool idea. One less welfare mother to take care of, one more future positive black mother GRADUATING! So Yea for me!
At least she took her baby w/ her instead of dumping her off on granny. and why the fuck everything has to be ghetto this and ghetto that?!?! most of ya'll mofos probably ain't even been to the damn ghetto!
right on anon 3:47
I also thought "baby daddy" was shirtless. Well. I guess that makes it a little better.
Right?
Maybe she couldn't find a baby sitter but I would not think it would be safe or if I want my baby around a bunch of teenagers when they are out to have fun. The baby does look cute though in a matching outfit to her mommy. Leave it to our people to come up with original stuff. lol
lol
@ Anon 4:08pm
Do you even know the meaning of a hypocrite? People disagreed with a teenager bringing her toddler to a prom. That is not hypocritical. It's called having an opinion.
Also what does her sitting at home on welfare have to do with parents leaving their kids home instead of bringing them to a prom? Not a mutha fuckin thing. Apples to oranges.
Last, what kind of school has a prom that caters to teen parents and their babies? It just doesn't happen. And why should it? Why should EVERYONE be robbed of a REAL PROM? They shouldn't.
Leave your damn kids home people.

NO hope for black folk. We've come too far too turn back now. I just laugh at us and wait for the Apocalypse now. We are DONE.

^^^ Please. Shay Shay will give lil Shay Shay some cough medicine and screw that new baby daddy in the other bed. Aint no SACRIFICES GOING ON.
Who cares about any of that??? WHAT IN HOLY TARNATION IS HE WEARING UNDER THAT COAT?!
yea...
I can't believe some of the people on here think those are some hot outfits...are you serious? Cheap fabric, ghetto hairstyles and why does that baby have so many ribbons in her hair? Seriously people pick up a magazine sometimes and get some style tips.lmao @ this foolishness. No you shouldn't bring your kids to the prom,if you were grown enough to have kids during high school instead of focusing on GRADUATING then you need to be an adult and take care of your kids AT HOME.Prom is for kids not so called "grown folks" lol@that
smh. hot ghetto mess. she going on her prom and her damn baby already walking. smh! i guess it's acceptable to be a teen mom nowadays.
^^^ and you are trying too hard.
This is not cute or acceptable. Why is it safer to believe this child actually attended the prom? She has the same fugly ass dress on as her mama. If they were just taking K-Mart pics, a nice coordinated outfit instead of a matching outfit...we would've cut her a little more slack.
Who's defending this shit?
H...E...DOUBLE HOCKEYSTICKS NO!!!!!
LMAO @ yaready_b for "I can see them forming a circle around the baby going "Go Tee Tee, Go Tee Tee" while the baby pop lock and drops it...LMAO"
This just makes me sad.
Even 50 fucking cents lives in Connecticutt now... damn...
Stop glorifying the ghetto?
There's nothing wrong living in the ghetto. Many blacks live in the ghetto.
IS THAT THE BABY'S DADDY?
^^^^
But if they had a choice...would they?
This is completely ridiculous. There are no words. I think I'm more offended at the attire than the act of taking a child to the prom.
what da fuckkkkk!!!! Hell to the NAW! how could she subject that poor child to that horror?!?!
Damn Shame
ALL I COULD DO IS LAUGH AT THIS SHIT!
I think it is a bit unusual, however, I guess if this is her only alternative in attending her prom-and it's accepted do yo thang.
I still can't see myself bringing my kid to the prom. My family wouldn't go for that. I say no. I like the pink look though...
Maybe if she left the beads out of the baby hair I could for that
I think that people try to be to flawless.
Im sorry but thats just a little toooooo ghetto for me.
Why the hell is people saying maybe she didn't have a babysitter, obviously if she got lil mama the dress it was planned, and I really don't appreciate this blog cause some of ya'll on here white. And ya'll don't have a clue.
9.54 some of us are just keeping it real. Some of the blogs sound white but there actually not. for example 8.21 is not white.
@Anon 9:54 I vote a white filter should be put up, and for white sites a black filter can be put up. Lovely day!
As ghetto as it may feel to you all...She at least graduated Im pretty sure a lot of you motherfuckers didnt even do that! LMAO
nay!
LOL I can't believe that this topic got so many angry comments? Maybe it's because she reminds you of yourself and you're ashamed and you don't like that
lil girl looks not happy
she only two years old maybe she needed her diaper changed, how does a 2 year old not look happy. That the age when they are bad as hell..
Why is her dress cut up to her coochay?
Nasty.
Yeah a lot of insecure folks on this board who talk shit.
Hell no disgraceful!!! Oh lawd my heart!
You don't have to be insecure to talk shit.
This is ridiculous... She'll have her own prom one day...
This takes "Dumb Bitches" to a whole 'nother level!
HELL NO!!!!!!!!! PPOOR CHILD!
Feel Me???
I'm gonna have to agree with the person who said this "This is the biggest, hot ghetto ass mess I've ever seen."
Okay... maybe not the biggest (because I have seen a lot of ghetto prom pictures) but it's definitely up there.
smdh
wow i dont even know what to say about that, did they have to buy her a ticket?
i was reading in the paper kids these days are having prom babies(gettin knocked up on prom night on purpose) to avoid the pressures or the real world i.e. college, their own damn paycheck to waste
smh the children are our future yall
OK DOES HE HAVE ON A SHIRT OR DID HE JUST TIE RIBBONS AROUND HIS CHEST???...LMAO
GHETTO...GHETTO... GHEETTTTOOOOOOOOO...... Tha matchin dress that ribbons on that vest..... and all...... just plain ol GHETTO......
Not only do you take your child but you dress her just like you...priceless. I love this site!!!
Y'all should have seen the REST of the pictures from this prom!
Anon 9:38pm, before u call anyone a HYPOCRITE or IGNORANT, please take ur 'ignant ass BACK 2 school, and learn how to spell.
anon 1:21 before your tired ass tell someone how to spell, take your funky fake ass and note that its am and not pm. fucking fake ass idiot.
i think if you got it like that, shit do what it do
I was initially going to say what in the infernal hotness of brimstoney hell is going on round here, but then I saw this:

"Anonymous said...
That'll be fly!!"
End Quote
And then I just dissolved into tears of laughter. I'm so glad I found this blog. Work shalt never again be-eth quite ever-so boring.
Yup.
M.
Out.
3:26 (PM)! Did i hurt ur dumb ass? GOOD. Learn how to spell, fool.
"Oooh boi can I braid yo hur boo?" Too bad he look alil gay and straight retarded in that damn added fabric suit on
hey no babysitter, i understand. hopefully she went to sleep early so she didnt have to hear her mommy making her sibling. LOL
WOW BABIES HAVING BABIES AND TAKING THEM TO THE PROM. SHE SHOULD GOTTEN LIL MAMA HAIR DONE THOSE BEADS IS NOT A GOOD LOOK WHEN HER HAIR SO SHORT
well, this is a first for me but i had to do it.
I have no words.
THAT SHIT IS TRIFF AS HELL? COME ON NOW DAMN ITS NOT CHUCKY CHEESE AND ITS NOT THE PARK THE PROM IS NO PLACE FOR A KID
