I still think that it's wack. Let's be realistic. It's summertime and it ain't shit else to watch on T.V. Let's see the show pull those numbers during the fall season.
Why does everyone keeps saying that this is a new show? It ran for a whole season last year! It is horrible than and if seems like nothing has improved.

YEAH, YOU JUST HAVE TO GET THROUGH THE FIRST COUPLE OF EPISODES AND IT REALLY BEGINS TO PICK UP. I WATCHED THE MARATHON AND FOR THE MOST PART, IT WAS REALLY FUNNY.
I love tyler perry, i didn't see the last movie he made but he seem like a very inteligent black man.

I agree with 225 I watch themarathon and wasn't impressed at first but it did grow on me and I really started to like it.
The actors started to gel much better and the storyline was much better and more serious.
I am all for anything that is without h-s bit-h and guns.

I think if they fired the actor that plays the uncle and replace him with someone else the show wouldn't be that bad. I couldn't stand to watch the show just because his ass was in the scene.

I'll watch anything Black and positive. Only way I'll not be watching, is if another Black show come on in that same time slot that's better. Other than that, I'd rather watch black faces on TV than white ones.
I saw the show when it ran the first time on WB. I thought the show started off slow, but it did pick up. I think the problem is that Tyler Perry picked the same people who stars in his plays to star in the sitcom. The actors are still acting like they are on a big stage. I think Allen Payne is cool because he was on television before, and he knows how to adapt accordingly. Maybe Tyler Perry wanted to be loyal and give his peeps some play, but with all these unemployed black comedians, he needs to stop playing. The story line is great, it shows the world the Black Man under a different light...one who is the single parent doing what he's supposed to do! There is something positive about this show.
I'm certainly glad this black man is making money but the bullshit he comes out with is a true mess. I am not supporting shit just because it's black. Give me some quality shit to support and I'm there.

I'll support Tyler and and your black ass too, if you ever get a show, good or bad. There ain't enough black shows on tv to be picky and I'd rather have something than nothing and to me white TV is nothing. Maybe you love whitey and that's cool. Let's see. The show centers around a God fearing black family with TWO MARRIED couples. All the men on the show are working or in school, not a dope dealer, pimp or hustler among them. Black folks can't be funny without you calling them coons? Which part was offensive to you? I want to know, for reals. Maybe MY sensibilities are skewed. (Because right now I just think yours are)

the show was test marketed in 10 cities like what 2 years ago and I thought it was crap then and it still crap now with all the new changes. Perry needs to get some new comedy writers asap because the dialouge is just not funny at all.

I'm all for showing support, but I'm not going to pretend that something is good just because someone black wrote it or produced it. I respect Tyler Perry's hustle but the show sucks. Plainly put, the writing is horrible, the acting is hammy and the plots are mediocre.
This show is too much like all of those idiotic plays. I can't knock his hustle, but Tyler needs to get some better actors. I agree that the show could be better if he had some sitcom actors and not the overacting actors from his plays.
It's not a new show but wasn't a national released show it's last season. It only showed in certain cities with large black populations.
Yes..this show sucks. You sit there waiting to hear something funny and it never comes. Mr. Perry needs to hire some better writers.
Support a person's work because of the quality of the work, not the color of the person behind it.
