And for the first time in history, people on the other side of the planet are able to get a glimpse into how black Americans think, speak, write, and behave. Suffice it to say we aren't dispelling any negative myths that have been generated about us by misspelling words (in this age of spell check) and spewing ignorant venom. Spelling IS important! If you don't have any other language, why not master the one you have?
When we behave like NeNe from Atlanta Housewives (or whatever that stupid show is called), we shouldn't be surprised when people don't want to hire us, sell us houses in decent neighborhoods, deny us access to good schools etc. I don't condone racism, I've been a victim of it all my life, but when we behave like idiots we give people reasons to overtly discriminate against us-people who may have otherwise helped us.
Will discrimination ever end? Not as long as white people are on the planet (black President or not). But the least we can do is behave in such a way that people of color around the globe don't believe the racist rhetoric about our behavior.
