Damon Dash's Messy Child Custody Case

Damon Dash and his baby mama, Linda Williams, have a long history of fighting over custody of their 16 year old son, Boogie. Click here for the bitter back story. Be sure to follow the red links. So anyway, Damon has had custody of Boogie for about 2 years and in that time, according to Linda's recently filed motion, Damon's lifestyle has changed considerably and she wants custody of their son back. Linda claims that for a period of two months Boogie had been without hot water or electricity and has not been to the doctor or dentist while his half sister Ava has. Linda also says Damon fired Boogie's driver so now Boogie has to catch the subway to and from school. That really pissed Linda off because one of the reasons Damon was awarded custody was because he argued that Boogie was a kidnaping risk because of Dame's celebrity status and that he needed a driver for his safety and that Linda could not afford to provide him one. Linda also claims Damon doesn't make Boogie go to school and since Damon fired all his staff, there's no one home to cook for Boogie. Linda exposes Dame's unstable lifestyle revealing that he has sold or lost all of his companies, has liquidated all of his assets and has ongoing tax problems, a pending rape case, and a rocky marriage.

Ex-CSI star Gary Dourdan was arrested in Palm Springs yesterday on suspicion of possessing heroin, cocaine, ecstasy and prescription drugs. The actor was asleep in his car at 5:21 AM when officers approached his vehicle and made the arrest. Too bad this comes as no surprise to RWSers. We posted last week that Gary was let go from CSI because of his drug abuse problems.

Foxy Brown took care of her attorney problems and pled no contest to simple battery and resisting arrest charges in a Florida court room yesterday . If you recall, Foxy's original attorney in the case resigned after she tried to broker a plea deal. They say dude wanted to take the case to trial. Anyway, the judge gave Fox two weeks to get it straight, but Foxy handled it immediately. With her new counsel by her side, Fox pleaded out to 6 months of probation, 13 weeks of anger management, 15 hours of community service and she has to write letters of apology to the victim and two police officers and pay $5,200 in fines and court costs. The victim, a barber and beauty supply owner who Foxy spit on and squirted with hair glue, has filed a civil case against her.

Wesley Gets The Max

Wesley Snipes was sentenced to 3 years in prison for willfully failing to file a tax return. He was not taken into custody today and will most likely serve his time at a federal prison near his home in New Jersey. Wes made a $5 million payment to the treasury on Thursday, but prosecutors called it a grandstanding move. "It''ll be a fraction of what he owes," said Assistant U.S. Attorney M. Scotland Morris, who made the argument for the government. Morris said a rough estimate of Snipes' outstanding tax liability, with penalties and interest, will exceed $20 million.

Alleged Witness To Jam Master Jay's Murder Sentenced to 17 Years In Jail

An eyewitness to the killing of Jam Master Jay was sentenced to 17 years in prison for a string of robberies after the Run-DMC legend's death. Federal prosecutors claim Ronald Washington was more than a witness to the 2002 shooting in Jay's Queens recording studio. They have said in court papers that Washington brandished a gun and made people in the studio stay on the floor while an unidentified gunman shot Jay, whose real name was Jason Mizell.
The 40-year-old Washington has denied any involvement and has not been charged in the slaying of the rap pioneer. Still, prosecutors asked a judge to consider it in sentencing Washington on Wednesday. U.S. District Judge Nina Gershon declined, noting that Washington wasn't prosecuted in the shooting. Defense lawyer Susan Kellman says the prosecutors' claims are based on nothing but "gossip."

for Foxy to get in trouble again. Fox Boogie was in a Florida courtroom today [April 23] to face assault charges stemming from that run in she had with a Pembroke Pines barber and beauty supply owner last year. You remember, she spit on the owner and squirted hair glue at him and slapped that cop and violated her probation by not having permission to be down there. Anyway, Foxy's appearance in court today was supposed to be a status hearing, but you know Foxy got to be difficult. Your girl tried to negotiate a plea deal directly with the State Attorney, cutting her local attorney out of the deal, so the local attorney got mad and quit the case on her ass. Foxy has two weeks to find a new attorney before her next court date, May 8th.

Three Suicide Attempts At Oprah's Leadership Academy

A wave of suicide attempts has swept through Oprah Winfrey's school for girls in South Africa. It's no secret Akon likes to exaggerate. Remember that time he said both Alicia Keys and Beyonce were jocking him for a date? So it should come as no surprise that he exaggerated about his criminal record to up his street cred. Remember when he first came out, he said he spent 4 1/2 years in prison for running a car theft ring? Never happened. According to The Smoking Gun, despite having been arrested six times, the only conviction Akon has on record is a 1998 gun possession charge, for which he got three years probation. He was also arrested in metro Atlanta for possession of a stolen BMW and spent several months in a DeKalb County jail before all charges were dropped. But that's it.

La La Being A Bitch Get Denver Cops In Trouble

The Denver Police Department has launched an investigation into whether several of its officers gave preferential treatment to Denver Nugget Carmelo Anthony during his DUI arrest the other night, because in Denver when you get pulled over for a DUI you're supposed to be taken to Detox or released to a sober, responsible party. Camelo was alone and swerving through traffic with his high-beams on when he was pulled over by a DUI traffic officer, but when he became belligerent, the officer called his sergeant. 'Melo was handcuffed and taken to Denver Health Medical Center where he submitted to a blood test. That's when the cops called La La to come pick him up. They claim she refused. In that case, the cops were supposed take him to Detox. Instead the sergeant took 'Melo in his police car to the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in downtown Denver, were he and La La were staying. Today La La claims that's not true. She says the cops offered to bring Carmelo home. And, in addition to the sergeant driving Carmelo to his hotel, another officer drove 'Melo's $130,000 silver Mercedes to a parking lot at the Denver Police Traffic Operations Bureau until he could pick it up later. Typically, the arresting officer would tow a car involved in a DUI case to an impound yard.

She says, “I feel it is necessary to clarify the comments that were made during my recent Blender magazine interview since they have been misrepresented. My comments about 'gangsta rap' were in no way trying to suggest that the government is responsible for creating this genre of rap music. One of LisaRaye's friends has accused her husband, the Premire of the Turks and Caicos Islands, Michael Misick, of rape. There is not a lot of info right now, like nobody knows which one of LisaRaye's friends was allegedly assaulted, but I'm sure it will all come out soon. They say right after the alleged assault the woman reported the crime to the Turks and Caicos police, and once she returned to the United States, she reported it to the FBI.

In a statement to the press, Lisa's husband said, "My fellow Turks and Caicos Islanders, a few days ago, an American female, after leaving the Turks and Caicos Islands, made a false report to law enforcement officials in the United States that she had allegedly been sexually assaulted by me. I strongly and categorically deny these false allegations…. I am confident that I will be completely and fully exonerated of these false and outrageous allegations. Let me be clear, I will continue my duties as Premier. "

More Trouble For Wendy Williams

So remember last month when Wendy Williams' talent booker Nicole Spence filed a sexual harassment suit against Wendy and her husband Kevin Hunter, claiming Kevin kept telling her he wanted to fuck her and that he came to the radio station and beat Wendy's ass a few times? Well, more WBLS staffers have come forward to corroborate the claims. "Others have come forward since we filed the complaint to support Nicole's claims," said Karen Webber, a partner in law firm Thompson, Wigdor & Gilly, which is preparing a federal lawsuit on Nicole's behalf. "They say he often called women bitches and used alcohol, and they describe his violent outbursts against Wendy Williams." Other women say they were victimized as well. Nicole, who often appeared live on the show, has been ostracized since the filing, Webber claims. As listeners know, Williams even went so far as to throw her out of the studio on the air, allegedly in retaliation for claiming that Wendy encouraged Kevin's harassment, "even offering to take me [Nicole] shopping, so I could dress 'like a sexy little bitch.' They've moved Nicole out of her workspace and taken her duties away, but she still shows up every day.

Williams and WBLS general manager Deon Levingston did not respond to requests for comment, and Hunter could not be reached.

He Should Be Suing Her For Naming His Daughter Lutheria

Luther Campbell is being sued by his baby mama for $40,000 in back child support, even though the child in question is now 20 years old. Davania Branch Burns, a 41-year-old fire inspector, and her 20-year-old daughter, Lutheria Campbell, live near Orlando and Davania's lawyer says, "'We want him to stand up and not be a deadbeat daddy. He needs to do the right thing. He needs to take care of his child. Why should he not pay? The ordinary working man has to pay." Drivers with delinquent support obligations can have their license suspended under Florida law. Davania has filed court papers requesting that be done until Uncle Luke pays what he owes her daughter.

Four more Toni Braxton shows have been canceled as she recuperates following her hospitalization with chest pain. Naomi Campbell, who was arrested last week for assaulting an officer on a British Airways flight, has been banned from flying with the airline. Naomi's spokeswoman says, "Naomi has been flying with BA for nearly 30 years and has been a good customer. She hopes this can be resolved amicably." That doesn't seem likely. Because while a BA spokesman declined to comment on the case, telling the Press Association, "We do not comment in detail about matters relating to individual passengers" they did assert that, "All incidents of abusive or disruptive behavior towards fellow passengers or staff are taken extremely seriously and will not be tolerated." That means you Naomi.

Lisa Bonet's New Baby

Well, she's not really new. She's eight months old now. But remember the scandal Lisa caused when she got pregnant? And not because she was knocked up at age 40 by a 27 year old, but because her baby's daddy, Jason Momao's long time love, Australian actress Simmone Jade MacKinnon, had no idea he was having a baby with Lisa until she read it in the papers. Toni Braxton Heart Scare

Las Vegas head liner Toni Braxton was admitted to St. Rose Dominican Hospital after she began having heart palpitations sometime after her Monday night show at the Flamingo. She was released yesterday afternoon.
Toni has an existing heart condition called pericarditis, which causes an inflammation of the sac surrounding the heart.
Toni’s Tuesday show was cancelled and today was a scheduled off day for her, but she is expected back to work at the end of the week.

Headed To Divorce Court

Another one bites the dust. After ten years of marriage actress Jasmine Guy and her husband, investment broker Terrence Duckett, are calling it quits. And it's obvious from the court papers that Jasmine is bitter as hell about it. In the divorce petition, aside from requesting her wedding ring, a few pieces of art and several bank accounts, Jasmine is asking for all kinds of petty shit; pots and pans, toasters, DVD players, Blackberries. I mean damn, can the man keep a frying pan? And if they're already fighting over toasters, I hate to see what kind of fight they're going to put up over custody of their 9-year-old daughter, Imani. Hopefully they can do like Shaq and Shaunie and work it out.

Either Shaunie got that good good or Shaq has figured out that it's cheaper to keep her, because the supposed to be estranged couple were seen together on Saturday at the Muhammad Ali Celeb Fight Night in Scottsdale, Ariz. The annual event is held to raise money for the Muhammad Ali Parkinson's Center of Barrow Neurological Institute at St. Joseph's Hospital in Phoenix.

James Brown Auction

A judge has ordered James Brown's personal belongings be auctioned off on August 1st to help pay mounting legal bills and overdue tax debts. Among the 400 items going on the block is a lock of James Brown's hair, 78 pairs of shoes and boots, a 1974 Mercedes Benz, a poem from Muhammad Ali and a home owned by the Godfather of Soul. By the time this is all over, there won't be anything left for his family to fight over. And what ever happened to that paternity test for little James Jr?

Genesee County don't play. MC Breed was sentenced to five months in jail Friday (April 4) for failing to pay over $200,000 in child support to three different women. At the hearing, Breed’s lawyer told the judge that his client's career has been on a downslide and that makes it difficult for him to pay the child support. “I've done my best to give back what I can,” Breed told the judge. “You've given back $50 in three years,” the judge responded “That's the best you can do?” Question, Breed: Did you ever consider getting a JOB? I'm just saying.

To the rumored Beyonce / Jay Z wedding held in Jay Z's Manhattan penthouse. Of course reps for both have confirmed nothing, but they say J&B went on and did it Friday. A stream of celebrity guests were seen entering the building, including Kelly and Michelle, Solange, Beyonce's parents, Jay's mama and Jay's business partner Steve Stoute, and everyone was wearing Ivory. There were also deliveries of flowers, tents, and candelabras. The only real gossip that I've heard about the super top secret nuptials is that at the last minute all the drivers who were hired to pick up the guests were told the event was off, and then a few hours later told it was back on again. Yesterday 50 Cent asked a judge to evict his baby mama from his house and today it's done.

"I'm a winner. What can I say?" 50 said after a hearing in Suffolk County Housing Court, where Judge Stephen Hackeling OK'd his request to kick Shaniqua Tompkins and his son Marquise out of his Dix Hills mansion. Shaniqua, 32, said, "Any man who would evict his son out of his house is evil. He's an evil, disgruntled man." Well Shaniqua, maybe you shouldn't have had your new man staying at the crib, cause 50 said, "To have her living there with her boyfriend and several other people is inappropriate. She's in the house with people I'm not responsible to pay housing for. She doesn't want to work. She doesn't want to do anything. She had a sense of entitlement over me because she was around before I had success."

The judge gave Shaniqua until the end of the school year to get out.

Your boy hasn't paid nothing to his baby mama in three years and he just got off of a 8 month bid for failure to pay child support. Breed ended up missing the concert because he couldn't come up with the $6,000.00 he needed to post bail. Take your own advice Breed. There ain't no future in your fronting.

50 Wants To Put His Baby Mama Out

Ok, so you know 50 Cent recently cut his baby's mama's child support down from $15,000.00 a month to $6,700.00 right? And that Shaniqua and 50's son Marquis had been living in 50's Long Island mansion. Anyway, 50 just asked a judge for an eviction order for Shaniqua and Marquis claiming he only allowed them to stay at the Long Island house until Shaniqua found a new place. Well, 50 claims Shaniqua hasn't even been looking and that she's totally taking advantage of the situation. Paul Catsandonis, Shaniqua's lawyer, plans to argue that an eviction is illegal because Shaniqua is not a tenant. He claims her residency has always been without a lease agreement, and Catsandonis says that because she pays no rent, she cannot be subject to eviction. Plus Shanaynay says 50 promised the house to her and that he reneged just before closing the sale on the property. Can't wait to see how this turns out.

This Bitch Is Spitting On People Again

The last time we caught super model Naomi Campbell spitting on somebody was about this time last year, remember? She was in Madison Square Garden at the U2 concert sitting on a rail and two security guards walked up and, well, screw the rehash, just click here if you if you don’t remember. Anyway, it seems your girl is up to her old tricks. Naomi Campbell got arrested at Heathrow airport day before yesterday for spitting in a cop's face after a piece of her luggage got lost. They say Naomi went off on British Airways staff after they told her one of her three bags had been misplaced in their new terminal. They promised her it would follow on a later flight to Los Angeles but Naomi, who paid $12,000 for her seat on the transatlantic flight, went ballistic while waiting in the first-class lounge. She was still going off after the plane boarded and finally, after refusing to calm down and after spitting on and hitting a police officer, Naomi was hauled off the plane in handcuffs, kicking and screaming. She faces up to six months in jail if she is charged with assaulting a police officer.

Bobby Brown is writing a book, y'all. In it, he claims Whitney Houston only married him to throw off the lesbian rumors about her and her personal assistant, Robyn Crawford. Sean's Family Want The Feds Involved

The mystery surrounding the untimely death of R&B singer Sean Levert in a Cuyahoga County jail has taken a sinister turn and Sean's family has asked the FBI to investigate. While staff at the jail claim Sean was “out of control” and “hallucinating,” forcing them to place him in a restraining chair, his family doesn't believe that, stating Sean never had any outbursts like those before. The 39-year-old singer died Sunday night at a hospital after he was taken from the county jail where he was serving a one year and 10 months sentence for failure to pay $89,025 in child support. Warden of Cuyahoga County, Kevin McDonough, said Sean was pounding on his cell door so guards strapped him in a restraint chair; his breathing became shallow and he was taken to Lutheran Hospital, where he died less than an hour later. An autopsy did not determine the cause of death. Toxicology tests are expected to take weeks. FBI spokesman Scott Wilson says agents would meet with the Levert family.

Jay Z and Beyonce filed for a marriage license in Scarsdale, N.Y, on April 1rst. The license is valid for 60 days. And, they say your boy Jay is on the verge of closing a deal with concert promoter Live Nation worth about $150 million. The package with Live Nation is said to include financing for Jay's other entertainment ventures as well as recordings and tours over the next decade.

Nancy Wilson Needs Your Prayers

Nancy Wilson has been hospitalized at Hi-Desert Medical Center in Joshua Tree, Calif with a collapsed lung. The 71-year-old Grammy winner is expected to recover but will not be able to make a performance scheduled in Memphis next weekend.
