It would take someone 44 years — working nonstop, 24/7, 365 days a year — to be able to fake the sex tape at the heart of R. Kelly's child-pornography trial, a forensic video analyst testified Thursday (May 29). "It's simply not possible. It's not possible to fabricate these images without detection, and there is no doctoring in any part. We don't have the technology yet to fabricate the errors and the facial features and the motion and the light in this way, not like this." Even more damaging to the defense was when the analyst took images of the man on the tape and the room featured on the tape and matched them to Kelly and his former home. And that ain't all, last week defense attorney Sam Adam Jr. made a big deal about a mole on R kelly's back saying it was not visible on the man in the video. So when the analyst showed how a spot on the male's back was in fact visible in a half-second's worth of footage once the tape was slowed down, the proverbial shit hit the fan. "It's in the exact same position, at about the same size," the analyst said, pointing to a video display. He also pointed out how the wood-panel hot-tub room known as the "Colorado room" at Kelly's former house was also a match — down to the position of every light, fixture and knot or blemish in the wood. "This was the same location," he said. "The knots in the wood are like stars in the sky — you can map them all out."

An FBI forensic video expert also authenticated the tape Thursday.

Shaniqua's House Burned Down

A raging fire that one fire official called "definitely suspicious" gutted a Dix Hills home owned by the Grammy-nominated rapper 50 Cent Friday morning, sending six people inside the house to the hospital. An eyewitness said that among the injured, all of whom suffered smoke inhalation according to fire officials, were 50 Cent's ex-girlfriend, Shaniqua Tompkins, and their 10-year-old son, Marquise. "She was all right," eyewitness Frank Hoyte said adding: "But she was angry." He said Tompkins was standing outside the home barefoot as it burned, wearing a bathrobe. Two young boys, one of them Marquise, two teenage girls and "an older woman" were also standing with Tompkins, Hoyte said.

Another Knockout For Suge

After filing for bankruptcy, Suge Knight has been ordered to sell off all assets belonging to Death Row records, including the rights to recordings by Tupac Shakur, Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre. An auction is set for next month with a starting bid of $24 million.

Toni Braxton's Las Vegas Show Canceled

A Las Vegas hotel has announced that the rest of Toni Braxton's scheduled shows have been canceled so the singer can focus on her health. The show, "Toni Braxton: Revealed," at the Flamingo Las Vegas had been dark since the 40-year-old entertainer was hospitalized April 7 with what hotel officials said at the time was a complaint of chest pain. The show had been scheduled to resume June 6.

Foul Play Overruled

An Ohio coroner ruled Thursday that R&B singer Sean Levert died of natural causes, however, his family believes his death possibly could have been prevented had he been allowed to seek medical attention during the week he was in jail.

Cuyahoga County Coroner Frank Miller's report indicates no foul play or trauma was involved in Levert's death, reports the Associated Press. Miller said the artist died from complications of sarcoidosis, an inflammatory lung disease that produces tiny lumps of cells in the body's organs.

According to Miller, Levert suffered from a number of other aliments, including heart disease, high blood sugar and withdrawal from alprazolam, a drug used to treat anxiety disorders and panic attacks that is better known under the trade name Xanax.

Attorneys for Levert's widow say sheriff's department records they reviewed show he wasn't given his alprazolam while in jail or seen by a doctor, which might have prevented his death.

Lawyers Daryl Dennie and David Malik, who represent Levert's widow, Angela Lowe, said they reviewed documents in the coroner's office showing that Levert brought a bottle of Xanax with him to the jail.

"They inventoried it and they never gave it to him," Malik said. "He requested it during the time he was in jail."

Following Levert's death, jail warden Kevin McDonough said the singer had been ill and was being monitored by guards because of his bizarre behavior. When he started pounding on his cell door, guards strapped him in a restraint chair, McDonough said. Levert's breathing became shallow and he was taken to the hospital.

"He was exhibiting classic signs of Xanax withdrawal," Dennie said, according to the AP. "A doctor would have been able to recognize these problems. Had he been able to see one in that week's time things could have been different."

Malik said the family may ask the FBI to investigate their concerns. FBI spokesman Scott Wilson said in April that agents were willing to meet with Levert's family. Wilson said Thursday that the FBI was never contacted by the family.

Pac Man In Foreclosure

Former Tennesse Titans cornerback Adam PacMan Jones' West Nashville townhouse was foreclosed on in April. Jones' attorney Worrick Robinson says it's another example of the money problems Pacman is experiencing because of his NFL suspension. "He has not played football in 18 months or so. That was his primary source of income that's why it's very important to him to be reinstated and get back on the field," said Robinson. The home was also broken into recently. Realtors filed a police report after someone snuck in and took a refrigerator and a pool table. Adam Jones has not been listed as a suspect but the DA's office says it would be trespassing if he had anything to do with the break-in.

Naomi Caught A Case

Remember last month when supermodel Naomi Campbell got kicked off that British Airways flight for hitting and spitting on an officer after she went ballistic because the airline lost her luggage? Your girl caught a case. Yesterday she was charged with three counts of assaulting police officers, one count of disorderly conduct, and two counts of using threatening language against the airplane crew. Naomi faces up to six months in jail and $16,800 in fines if she's found guilty of all charges.

Busta Rhymes Body Guard Murdered

When I first read the headline on the 'net about Busta Rhymes' bodyguard being killed, I thought to myself, "Why are they bringing up that two year old unsolved murder of Busta's bodyguard Israel Ramirez, who was shot and killed on the set of a video shoot in front of dozens of witnesses? Had someone finally come forward?" But they weren't talking about Israel, they were talking about a different bodyguard, Jermaine "Black" Williams, 35, of the Bronx. Jermaine was found dead from multiple gunshot wounds in Ozone Park, Queens. Police found blood dripping from a parked SUV where they discovered 'Maine's body wrapped in a blanket in the backseat. It is unclear whether he was working for Busta at the time of the shooting.

Trouble With R Kelly Witness

The woman who was supposed to testify that she had a threesome with R Kelly and his underage lover may not be coming to the stand. Kells lawyers have produced a witness of their own who thay say can prove this woman is an unreliable source with ulterior motives. Court proceedings were abruptly adjourned yesterday in light of these new developments.

Gary Pleaded Guilty

I know he said the drugs weren't his but, Gary Dourdan pleaded guilty to two counts of cocaine and Ecstasy possession in an Indio, CA courtroom yesterday, there was a heroin charge too, but that was thrown out. He got no jail time and was sentenced to complete a drug program, that when he finishes, all charges will be dropped.

Gary's lawyer said, "He very much regrets what happened and he's very embarrassed by what occurred, but he's looking forward to moving on and getting back to work. He is very grateful to the court for being understanding and giving him an opportunity to resolve the issue and move forward."

Former Personal Assistant Ids R Kelly

The witnesses just keep on coming. R Kelly's former personal assistant, Linda Perryman, has reluctantly id'd her former boss and the alleged victim as the couple on the sex tape at the center of the R Kelly child pornography trial. She testified that R Kelly had done so much for her personally and professionally that she did not want to identify him as the man on the tape unless she was absolutely certain.” I was in shock and I wanted to be 110 percent sure," she said. Linda told the jury the she first met the alleged victim in 1999, when she showed up at the studio one evening with her parents and younger brother. The girl, who was carrying a pillow and an overnight bag, was introduced as a goddaughter of both Kelly and his wife, Andrea. Though the former assistant was often sent to pick up the alleged victim after school and take her to Kelly's home or studio, Linda said she never suspected anything inappropriate about the girl's relationship with the singer. The girl's father was a guitarist for Kelly, and her mother also had an office at the recording studio, she testified.

So far, 11 witnesses have identified R Kelly and the victim, including one cousin who said he was not absolutely sure, but admitted that the girl on the video and his cousin had similar looking bone structure, but he told the jury it was hard to believe his relative would accept money to perform sex acts like the female participant does in the video. "It's not her character at all," he said.

The next witness expected on the stand is a woman who claims to have participated in a threesome with R Kelly and his underage lover.

Another Day, Another 3 Witneses ID R Kelly

As the first week in the R Kelly child pornography case came to an end, 3 more witnesses positively ID'd R Kelly and his underage lover as the couple depicted in a homemade sex tape. Another of the victim's childhood friends, now a University of Wisconsin student, her mother, and another of the victim's own relatives say that without a doubt, 41 year old R Kelly is the man shown golden showering a clearly underage girl in the 10 year old sex tape. College student, Audrey Hampton, testified Thursday that she played basketball with the alleged victim and went to school with her for several years. She told the jury "there's no question" that the female on the tape is her childhood friend at age 13 or 14. Audrey said the victim introduced her to Kelly at a party at a downtown Chicago basketball court. She also told the court that rumors started to spread in her neighborhood about a sex tape with her friend in it. Audrey's mother, who says she found a copy of the tape in her daughter's bedroom, testified that she viewed parts of the tape and then threw it in the trash, heartbroken because she too recognized her daughter's friend as the girl on the tape. The final and possibly most damaging testimony came from R&B singer and former R Kelly protégé, Sparkle, who testified that she introduced her 12 year old niece to R Kelly after she started working with the singer/songwriter and that, "Sir, it's Robert and [my niece] on the tape. I know my family. I know them. Trust me." Sparkle said she found out about the tape in December 2001 after she got a phone call from an attorney telling her that a relative of hers was on a sex tape she needed to see. Sparkle told the court the tape tore their family apart. "We were thick as thieves," Sparkle said of the family's closeness before finding out about the tape. "You couldn't break the chain with us. We were tight, tight, tight." But after the the tape came to light, "There was one side and another side," she said. The girl's mother — Sparkle's sister — didn't want to see the tape and didn't want to talk about it, she said.

Witnesses ID Kelly On The Sex Tape

So far there's only been one day of testimony in the R Kelly child pornography case, but boy is it fire. Yesterday, after viewing the sex tape in open court, the underage girl in the video and R Kelly were both positively identified by the victim's former best friend of ten years, Simha Jamison, Simha's father, and the victim's own aunt, who happens to be a Chicago police officer. The former friend told the court that her ex-pal’s father introduced them to R Kelly at a Chicago gym called Hoops when both girls were 12 years old. Simha said the girl referred to Kelly as her Godfather and that they hung out at his home many times. She told the court that Kelly often gave her friend money so they could go on shopping sprees, never less than $100.00 and not more than $500.00. She also identified the distinctive log cabin style sauna where the porno was shot. The defense countered that all three were trying to extort money from his client and that the video could have been altered to add Kelly's head to the body on the video.

Opening Arguments

Opening arguments began yesterday in the R Kelly child pornography case, but not without a little controversy. Remember that one witness who had been identified as a rape victim? She left the trial because her job would not pay her for the time she would have to take off to serve on the jury and she said it would cause her sever financial hardship. But after that was over, prosecutors got right down to the crux of the case and showed the sex tape, allegedly made by Kelly, showing him boning a 13-year-old girl. Courtroom witnesses say at the start of the 27-minute video, a black man, who prosecutors claim is Kells, hands the female, a wad of cash and she says, "Thank you." They say they engage in oral sex, which escalates to intercourse near a hot tub. The video ends with the man urinating on the girl who sometimes calls him "Daddy." The defense countered that the man in the video is not R Kelly, their proof, they say, is the R has a significant mole on his lower back and that the man in the video does not.

Jermaine and his now ex-wife Alejandra's divorce became final today. Here's the dirty details. Jermaine will pay off a $100,000 debt; in return, Alejandra waives all spousal support. $50,000 is to pay her attorney’s fees and the other $50,000 is for Jermaine to become current on child support. Jury Selection Is Complete

The R Kelly child pornography jury consists of eight whites and four Blacks. Of the four alternates two are Black, one Hispanic and one is white. Kell's lawyers accused the prosecution of trying to get rid of African Americans from the jury during the voir dire [look it up]. "I think they're using these (challenges) to get rid of African Americans," said Sam Adam Sr., one of Kelly's attorneys. A little later, he complained that "they've used 50 percent of their challenges on African Americans." Prosecutor Shauna Boliker shot back, telling the judge that the defense had "used all six of their preemptories (preemptory challenges) on whites." So there. Interesting note, one of the jurors is a rape victim.

DMX Pleads Not Guilty

After showing up for court 1 hour late, DMX pleaded not guilty to felony drug possession and misdemeanor animal cruelty charges yesterday. The 37-year-old rapper was indicted last week on 11 counts, including felony marijuana and paraphernalia possession and seven counts of misdemeanor animal cruelty. The charges stem from an August raid by authorities investigating if he was neglecting 12 pit bulls at his Phoenix home. Some were dehydrated and appeared to be underfed. Three were found buried in his back yard.

Rapper Lil' Kim was awarded a half-million-dollars yesterday after a judge ruled that former Junior Mafia member and snitch Lil Cease used Kim's name and image without her permission for a DVD. Manhattan federal Judge Jed Rakoff found that Cease and his company, Ground Zero Entertainment, wrongly capitalized on Kim's fame when they made a film about Junior Mafia. According to reports, all hell broke loose yesterday at Remy Ma's sentencing. Of course you know Remy was all crying and begging for leniency, but Papoose is the one who really showed out. They say he got into it with some of shooting victim, Makada Barnes-Joseph's people in the hallway outside the courtroom and when his boys tried to hold him back he started yelling, "Get the fuck off me. Fuck ya'll. Fuck jail!" And when the court officers came to break it up, he was all like, "Fuck y'all. Lock me up. Lock me up. I don't care. Take me to jail. Arrest me. Y'all fuckin' put her in jail when she didn't do shit! This is all about money!" Papoose is convinced that the only reason Makeda went through with this trial is so she could sue Remy and come up. Never mind the fact that Remy shot her ass.

Back in the courtroom Remy'd told the judge, “Throughout this unfortunate case, I was advised from my attorney to stay silent but now I want you all to see me for me and what I've gone through. Reporters and newspapers have called me a 'hardcore rapper,' a 'hip-hop harlot'—Remy Ma is just a music industry name. A facade. I'm not a thug. I'm not a hardcore anything. I have feelings. I'm Remy Smith—No, I'm Remy Mackie. I'm a wife, mother, daughter and big sister." Remy asked for mercy, "not just for me, but for my loved ones, and for my little boy."

The judge wasn't going for it. Before she handed down her eight-year sentence, she told the court, "This is not the first time Ms. Smith has engaged in violence. This is a pattern. The previous times haven't been as severe. Smith doesn't take responsibility for her actions. Her letter to the court and her statement today showed no remorse. She even painted herself as the victim. This is not about hip-hop. This is about the individual, Remy. She is a danger to others."


They say Remy's eight-year-old son was present during the sentencing and that someone had painted "Remy Ma" on his cheek in red letters. And that Makeda, through tears, asked that the court show Remy some mercy saying, "I ask that you give her the kind of time that will allow her to reconnect with her son and become a responsible mother."

Al Reynolds took to his Facebook page to let everyone know how he feels about his impending divorce from Star Jones. He says a lot of stuff, but the only thing I noticed was that he describes himself as a soon to be author. Can't wait. Anyway, here's what he had to say:

Three Jurors Picked In The R Kelly Case

The wife of a Baptist preacher from R. Kelly's hometown, a business executive and a telecommunications company employee were the first three jurors chosen Monday for R Kelly's child pornography trial. Potential jurors who were dismissed included a man in his 50s who prosecutors said clearly was awe-struck by Kelly's celebrity and a security guard who said Kelly would have "some explaining to do" if he was on the video. About 15 potential jurors were questioned Monday; 20 others out of an initial pool of 150 were scheduled to face questions on Tuesday. Sixteen jurors, four of them alternates, are to be chosen for the trial. Court officials have said questioning and selection from the 150 potential jurors is expected to take about a week.

DMX, whose real name is Earl Simmons, was booked on charges of criminal speeding, public endangerment, reckless driving and driving on a suspended license. Electronically activated cameras placed along the Loop 101 freeway in Scottsdale captured him three times on Jan. 21 in his Nova II with a large "DMX" decal on the windshield. He was driving at 100, 101 and 114 mph.The speed limit on the stretch of roadway is 65 mph. The woman in the passenger seat is unidentified.

R Kelly Wants

Another delay in his child pornography trial because of "the torrent of publicity surrounding the case." The motion, which is being kept under seal, cited media coverage over the weekend of the judge's decision to allow a woman to testify that she had a three-way sexual encounter with Kelly and the teen shown in the videotape at the center of the case. The earliest the judge could rule on this matter is Friday, the day jury selection is scheduled to begin. He gave prosecutors until Friday to respond to the defense request for a new trial.

Gary Dourdan Charged With 3 Felonies

CSI star Gary Dourdan has been charged with three felonies for possession of a controlled substance– heroin, cocaine and ecstasy. His arraignment is scheduled for May 28. "If convicted, Dourdan faces a probation term and could be required to complete a drug treatment program," said Michael Jeandron, a rep for the Riverside County District Attorney. Wesley Snipes asked a court to let him stay free on bail while he appeals his conviction and three-year prison term for failing to file income tax returns. New Witness Steps Forward

The judge in the R Kelly child pornography case has agreed to allow testimony from a young woman, who was also a minor at the time, who says she participated in threesomes with R Kelly and the young woman who appears on tape getting pee'd on by R, proving the girl's age and identity. The girl in question [now in her 20's] and her parents have steadfastly denied that she is the one in the video. They say Beyonce will get $10 million dollars in the event of divorce, provided she stays with Jay for two years, and one million dollars for each additional year of marriage up to 15 years. They say Jay also promises to buy Bey a house worth $10 million dollars if they split, and reportedly will pay her $5 million dollars for every child she has by him, to cover her 'loss of income'.

Dennis Rodman Arrested

Dennis Rodman has been arrested for allegedly hitting a woman at a hotel in the Century City area of Los Angeles. Police say the 46-year-old former NBA star was arrested Wednesday night after officers answered a report of a domestic dispute. Rodman was jailed for investigation of felony domestic violence and freed on $50,000 bail early Thursday.

More Trouble For PacMan

Adam 'PacMan' Jones, who was just traded from the Tennessee Titans to the Dallas Cowboys after a year long suspension from the NFL for bad conduct, keeps getting into deeper and deeper trouble. If you recall, PacMan, who was questioned by police in 10 separate incidents last year and was involved in a shooting at a Las Vegas strip club All Star weekend 2007 after making it rain went horribly wrong. [Put his name in the search box at the top of the page if you need more details, we don't have time to keep rehashing shit over and over] Anyway, he ended up pleading no contest to charges of conspiracy to commit disorderly conduct and agreed to testify in the case. Pac Man identified the shooter as Arvin Kenti Edwards of Renton, Washington and the cops picked him up. Once ol boy got to jail, he started singing like EnVouge. He told the cops that Pac Man paid someone to do the shooting but it wasn't him. Pac Man told police that after the incident, Arvin kept calling him demanding $15,000 payment for the shooting, but says he hung up on him claiming he didn't order any violence. However, PacMan does admit to reimbursing a friend who did pay Arvin the money.
