T.I. Spoke To Chris Brown

T.I. told Carson Daley, "Yeah, I spoke to him today. He cool, you know. I guess he a little concerned about the situation, but he’s still the same Chris.”

I should hope the little bastard is 'concerned about the situation'! What kind of punk raises his hand to a woman and then leaves her on the side of the road, leaving her in a car while he takes the keys? You know this isn't the first time that he hit her, either--it's just the first time somebody saw it.

...yup, i'd heard she was a "difficult" person and that she tends to ride a pretty high horse. after all, she's young, pretty, rich and spoiled. combine that with the inherent volatility of a 19-year old kid who's also rich, pampered, "entitled" and brimming with testosterone, you then have a combustible mixture that is begging to explode. it is ... Read Morewhat it is..., y'know! but whatever "justification" one might want to apply to a situation like this, CB's "entitlement" ends at the EXACT point where his hands penetrates her "aura" and make contact with her head, shoulders, legs or any other body part...! after that, he ain't nothing but a chick beater who needs to be put UNDER the jail IF he's found guilty.

"In the meanwhile, Brown is clocking up a huge rental bill after the silver Lambourghini he rented for the weekend has been impounded in a LA police lot as potential evidence.

The luxury car, rented from Platinum Motorsport, costs $2,000 a day to hire."

Oh, and he hired Mark Geragos to defend him. Geragos was the camera-whore clown who defended Michael Jackson briefly during his second circus, and Winona Ryder for shoplifting.

Anonymous said...

"situation"?!? situation? ti couldn't distinguish between a "situation" and assault and battery if his life depended on it. witness the fact the clown was too stupid to comprehend that fact that he ain't supposed to be havin' no weapons, much less buy a shitload of machine guns. "situation"? WTF? i can't wait till this fool's in Club-Penn so they get this niggarish shit off the streets for a minute!

Milly said...

I think T.I is just being nonchalant about what dude actually told him....I doubt Chris would just be cool with all the sh*t thats about to go down, or maybe he doesnt know hoe serious this whole thing is

Anonymous said...

This is Not The Time for spokesmen like T.I. speaking up for him.

Anonymous said...

T.I. made Chris Brown come across as unconcerned, meanwhile this is some serious shit. This is way more than some random situation, its a felony.

Anonymous said...

Geragos will be on the scene for as long as CB has cash. If he quits abruptly (as he did with Jackson), look out.

That said, there are only about A THOUSAND defense attorneys in Los Angeles who would have been a better choice for Brown.

Wild Safari said...

Geragos probably chased him down and T.I. probably reached out to Chris. I hope he is getting his shyt together because this is going to be a rocky road.

Anonymous said...

Maybe his minor concern tells us we dont know what the fuck really happened

so um... T.I. is Chris' PR person now? he's a bit "concerned" about what happened?? are you serious?? that fool needs to be a HELLUVA LOT MORE than just "concerned". *smh*

CHRIS IS CONCERNED ABOUT BEING A PRISON BITCH.

Anonymous said...

You know how it is. This is when "friends" just want to help you out. Riiiiiiiiight.

T.I.'s probably just happy the shit-storm is swirling around somebody else for a change.

I guess if T.I. had been locked up immediately after his guilty plea, we wouldn't have to be hearing from his ridiculous ass now.

By the way, the pictures are out there now of CB leaving the LA County Jail after booking—shoes off, dressed all in black, curled-up in the back seat with his hoodie pulled over his head—thus giving the paps a money shot that makes him look like public enemy number one.

9:16 you're a pious, nonsensical prick. i doubt that TI got together with CB for a bitch-fest and to talk about rihanna's personality. having a snooty personality does not warrant a beat down. if that were the case you wouldn't be able to leave your house.

jill said...

...and by now way am i placing you in the same boat as rihanna, i'm saying you seem to have a serious personality defect.

Well, at the rate he's going, we should be hearing from OJ any minute now about how "Chris is doing."

Anonymous said...

he's not getting off no matter who defends him. I don't see how they can send him the jail for this, he doesn't have a record of beating up women. He'll probably get probation and have't to take anger management. Rihanna must feel like shit, with all the media attention.

Anonymous said...

No one should just bash chris. I am a woman, and I know that there are two sides to every story, because sometimes cocky ass women tend to push certain buttons thinking it's ok. Not saying it's right, but if chris would have gotten tagged by rihanna everyone would be looking at the fact that he got his ass beat and laugh. But then it would be ok.

Just let the situation resolve on its own.

Wait a minute..wasn't there a "situation" between Chris and TI after the Mtv awards? And that TI supposedly had to put young Chris in his place?

That's what I meant by "friends" in an earlier post. This is a "situation" where CB is going to find out who his really are—in a hurry.

You know what's gonna hapen next:

1. RiRi will turn to Jay Z for comfort.

2. BeyBey will not be pleased.

3. She will get in Jay's face about this. Bigtime.

4. Jay will pop BeyBey in the mouth.

5. Charges will be filed.

6. And Jay's endorsement contract for Camel cigarettes will be dropped like a hot brick.

Conclusion: This RiRi chick is trouble!

Anonymous said...

I feel that the fact remains....two KIDS got hot and heavy, and FELT TOO much. And because of that, shit like this happens.

It's a terrible tragedy and I do hope Rihanna's face and soul heals and CB remains viewed as the punk he is. Regardless if she smacked him first (which is what I'm hearing on some sites) he appearently was/is trained in martial arts, and one smack wasn't going to harm him phyisically, just his ego. He had no right to pummel her as he did, point blank. But again, this is why deep, end all, sexual relationships aren't the wisest of things for the youth, but I can only say that because been there done it. I don't really know what the answer is, but do know that this punk needs to be condemned rather then people like Phelps. Maybe that is the answer.

Oh and that TI works my last nerve.

I'ma say what I've already said on countless other blogs: if she hit him first (which I'm inclined to believe) then she deserved to get her azz kicked. Being a music critic who's reviewed his music and live performances, I believe that Chris Brown is a talented individual. However, his witnessing a stepfather abusing his mother is no pass or excuse for his alleged behavior: If he knew enough to flee, he knew right from wrong, plain and simple!

After I removed the CB poster from my son's wall for one of Barack Obama, I talked to my 11-year-old son about how wrong it was for Chris, no matter HOW ANGRY, to put his hands on Rhianna. I've taught him to walk away from a combative female, THEN to restrain her if she doesn't get it. You'd think that a man watching his mother get abused would be the biggest deterrent from him doing the same, but unfortunately, more often than not, they perpetuate the cycle.

CB needs help and I hate that this happened to him, but this is not something to be overlooked as a 'youthful indiscretion.' HE KNEW BETTER AND NEEDS TO (PUN INTENDED) FACE THE MUSIC!

A Eugene researcher's observations point to young women who initiate physical fighting

Fingering the aggressor

It's one thing to ask couples how often their arguments escalate to physical attack. It's another to actually watch them go at it. Deborah Capaldi has. A senior scientist at Eugene's Oregon Social Learning Center, Capaldi has spent hours watching young couples tackle problem-solving exercises in the center's lab assessment rooms. To the surprise of Capaldi and her colleagues, a partner would sometimes lash out in the midst of debating how to solve the problem. Who were the primary initiators of such slaps, pokes and kicks? “The women,” Capaldi says. Capaldi's and her co-workers' research, slated for publication in the Journal of Family Violence, found that women age 18 were more than four times as likely as men to initiate physical aggression. The gap closed by age 26, when women were only slightly more likely than men to tee off. The counterintuitive findings are among a growing body of research suggesting that women may play a larger role in domestic violence than commonly assumed. But the research is also controversial and subject to interpretation. Capaldi contends that prevention and treatment programs for battered women often miss the mark because they fail to consider the realities of female aggression. Women need to know, for example, that if they assault their partner, they run a higher risk of severe injury themselves, she said. “Women engage in aggression,” she said, “and we're not doing them any favors by denying they have any part in it.” Most advocates for female victims of domestic violence acknowledge that some women are aggressors and some men are victims. But they caution that the dynamics are often very different, the options for escape much narrower, and the risk of physical injury or death far greater for women.

Studies show that Women put hands on a man because society says that a man should not hit a woman. Women admit to hitting men unprovoked. As a man it is disturbing to see that these are what studies have found as to why women hit men, here it is:

People hit and abuse family members because they can. In today's society, as reflected in TV, movies, law enforcement, courts, and feminist propaganda, women are openly given permission to hit men. Presently 25%-30% of all intimate violence is exclusively female on male.

"Primary aggressor" laws usually result in arrest of the male and ignore research showing 50% of domestic assaults are mutual combat. The woman is thus encouraged to abuse her partner further until finally he will take no more. Such provocation of the human male is dangerous. Studies consistently find women use weapons more often in assaults than do men (~80% for women; ~25% for men). Women are significantly more likely to throw an object, slap, kick, bite, or hit with their fist or an object.

There is no support in the present data for the hypothesis that women use violence only in self defense. Three common reasons women give for male abuse are: to resolve the argument; to respond to family crisis; and to " stop him bothering me." Male abuse of a woman, requiring self defense, is one of the less-frequently stated reasons by women for their assaults.

Our research shows that a gender-balanced approach to domestic violence is essential in order to reduce both the frequency and severity of such incidents for both men and women. Present laws and practices appear to commonly have the opposite effect.

Why Do Women Hit Men?

Gelles (1997, p. 133) put it succinctly: "People hit and abuse family members because they can." And in today's society, as reflected in TV, movies, and feminist doctrine, women are openly given permission to hit men. For example, a woman slapping a man in the face is rarely, if ever, viewed as "domestic violence."

We are fighting a losing war against family violence until society withdraws permission from women to hit their intimate partners. The problem and causes of female violence must also be recognized and addressed.

It has been suggested that female assaults on males are almost always for reasons of self-defense. Outside of studies that come from clinical samples of women who seek services in domestic violence centers and social service agencies we have not found evidence to support that hypothesis.

Fiebert and Gonzales (1997) have looked at the reasons why women assault from a sample of 978 college women in California. Within a 5-year period, 20%, or 285 of the women surveyed admitted to physical aggression against their male partners.

There does not seem to be any support in the available data for the feminist proposition that women only use violence against men in self defense. The most-common reasons the women in the Fiebert and Gonzales (1997) study gave for assaulting their male partners included:

My partner wasn't sensitive to my needs
I wished to gain my partner's attention.
My partner was not listening to me.
The factor of the male being abusive to the woman was one of the less-frequently stated reasons for the female's assault.

Fiebert and Gonzales (1997) also asked for more profound reasons as to why the woman had assaulted her male partner. The five leading reasons the women gave to that query were:

I believe that men can readily protect themselves so I don't worry when I become physically aggressive (24%).
I have found that most men have been trained not to hit a woman and therefore I am not fearful of retaliation from my partner (19%).
I believe if women truly are equal to men then women should be able to physically express anger at men (13%).
I learned when growing up that I could be physically aggressive toward my brother and he would not fight back (12%).
I sometimes find when I express my anger physically I become turned on sexually (8%).
In two Australian studies (Sarantakos, 1998, 1999), the most common type of male behavior that resulted in abuse was a minor violation of household rules.

In Sarantakos' studies the three most common reasons women gave for abuse of their male partners were:

To resolve the argument.
To respond to family crisis.
To "Stop him bothering me!"
We are aware of two studies that have asked the questions of assault context and self-defense in the general population.

An English study by Carrado et al. (1996), summarized in Table 2, suggests that ~80% of assaults by wives on their husbands were for reasons other than self-defense. Items C and F in Table 2 were identified as clear examples of self-defense. Note that multiple reasons are often given for the same assault.

Violence prone women. A 'violence prone' woman is a woman who, while complaining that she is the innocent victim of the malice and aggression of all other relationships in her life, is in fact a victim of her own violence and aggression. Pizzey (1998) provides considerable evidence that such individuals form an addiction to violence early in life.
Abused as a child: A woman who was physically or sexually abused as a child, particularly during her teenage years, is a likely candidate to be abusive as an adult. She will also know all the games to play, just who to call, and what to say when the abuse begins.

I wish the best for these two and hopefully when the truth comes out (neither) of their careers will be destroyed. I won't believe that she was bloodied and beaten until I see pictures, I wonder what's taken so LONG to show them. My neighbor has a son and she has taught him that if a girl hits you to hit her back, I don't think that it's right on either part. Men and women need to understand if you put your hands on someone else they may hit back -

Next time try keeping your responses in context to what people say. My prior post DOES NOT apply to men who are beating their wives/girlfriends just because, but it definitely is applicable to ANY woman who feels she can hit a man during an argument (or just because) and not have him retaliate. And I could give a flyin' fugg less about women in shelters or those who lose their lives because if any of them put their hands on a man FIRST, they got what was coming to them. NO ONE has the right to put their hands on another person, but so many women (probably like you) feel as though they can get away with abuse just because they are women. That's bullshit...I know it, you know it, and everyone else in here knows it. smmfh

Stop being so dramatical. Unlike some of you lil' girls, I'm a grown woman who has experienced life and seen first hand what kind of bullshit double standards are involved when it comes to issues of DV. No way in hell should a man be expected to walk way when he's abused just because he's a man, nor should women be permitted to put their hands on someone and not expected to get knocked the fluck out for doing so. This is my opinion, and I don't give a damn if you agree with me or not.

If he was wildin ...well.. (she looks about 95lbs soaking wet). Not sure if she could have really defended herself but I guess #1...SHUT UP! DON"T MAKE IT WORST. .
If the speculation is correct he didn't sustain any injuries. So if she hit him it was really minor, which means he could have dealt with the situation differently. Not cool. The whole situation is disappointing. The lesson ladies.. Do you homework and be smart. You never know what lies beneath. Date and have fun but don't close yourself off. Young people ready need to heed that particular piece of advice. Money hides a lot of things and charm even more. That goes both ways.

Clearly, this isn't a situation - it's assault! It is frightening when I have seen reports indicating how many are on a "side." It is more disgusting to even think about a side. The outright physical, emotional and the thoughts of it are vividly disgraceful. Not one word has come from CB indicating an apology - how strange. I'm disappointed that other entertainment artists are barely saying anything about it. FULLY DISGUSTING!!!! That is how domestic violence will continue with money being shelved into the pleas and the dominos will keep falling.
Rihanna, keep your head up, keep a concerned and compassioned security team and God is watching out for you.
Peace.

Yeah Chris was in the wrong. This just goes to show that battery occurs often in relationships. I think that the person who stated:
"she [Rihanna] was a "difficult" person and that she tends to ride a pretty high horse...she's young, pretty, rich and spoiled. combine that with the inherent volatility of a 19-year old kid who's also rich, pampered, "entitled" and brimming with testosterone, you then have a combustible mixture that is begging to explode."
Reports stated that Rihanna has had Chris followed on numerous occasions, doesn't trust him, etc.
Nonetheless, does that make what Chris "did" (the public still does not have any PROOF, just suspicions, and since Chris is only slightly concerned with the situation maybe the "story" of what the went on that night is WAY off).

Maybe, just maybe, one should withhold judgement until AFTER the truth comes out! He apoligized for something, he never exactly said WHAT. The story of that night is that Rihanna had taken the keys and thrown them out of the vehicle. ANY guy would be upset about that. Whether you could get him on ASSAULT (threatening her) or BATTERY (physically touching her) are things that we (the public) have NO clue about. Therefore, we cannot judge others and their loyalties to their friends.
