I know that Joseph Jackson has been painted as a "Monster" - but despite all the abuse alleged against him by family members, THEY LOVE HIM and apparently have FORGIVEN HIM.
There are no rules on how people must grieve, this man lost his child - no matter how old, no matter how estranged, that was his child.
His mind may not be in a place to composed and behave in a way that is acceptable to everyone.
For whatever reason during this crisis, they have called on Joe and have come together as a family, and Joe Jackson has taken his place as the patriach and doing what he needs to do for his child and his family.
This is absolutely disgusting. Joe Jackson has a fucked-up soul.
He's going to ride his own son's death hard, to get his own shine (and money). You mentions a record company during an interview about your son's death? MJ just passed away last Thursday, and Joe Jackson acts like he isn't even grieving!

people deal with death differently. some will try to remain strong, but weeks later they end up breaking down. Joe is trying to keep his mind and heart busy in order to keep from having a nervous breakdown

I heard that Katherine thew Joe out, too. I hope she doesn't let his ass back in. Joe has always been ignorant and crass. One of the few good things he did was to take the Jacksons 5 out of Motown, but he doesn't get full credit for that since it was done out of jealousy--not smart thinking. I don't blame Michael for exorcising Joe out of his life. I would have too if he was my father.
After yesterday's display of questionable ignorance, I still wanted to give Mr. Jackson the benefit of the doubt, but with every new day and every new record company plug, I find it's getting harder to believe this man is just going through his own legitimate form of grieving (and not just trying to make a dime like all the other leeches off Michael's, his own son (!), death).

Stop ya bellyachin' and LISTEN to the man for a second. He answered "a question AS IT WAS ASKED of him." He told them the answer to the question. He's doing X,Y & Z as it related to the question. I TOTALLY agree. I'm sitting here like, DAMN...did these people watch the same vid as me and choose to IGNORE the part where he explained why he brought up his record company? smh
And those of you going hard at him need to remember that he's old as hell so it stands to reason that his mind isn't what it used to be so instead of harping on him jumbling his words regarding Michael, why not focus more on the MEANING behind them. And although you may be young now and feel like you can mock your elders in this manner, remember you won't always be and could very well end up worse off than Joe or other old people you make fun of [IF you even live that long].

Ok - I started this post at post 7:13pm yesterday trying to defend Joe Jackson. But there is no defense for willful and continued stupidity and disrespect. His actions were intentional, he was not distraught or confused, just vain and greedy.
I now believe he is taking the opportunity of his son's ["his child" as I said], death and continuing to take advantage of him.
And no, I don't believe it's because he is old - because his mind is quite sharp and he is calculated in all that he has done since Micheal's death.
I stand corrected.
I have a son and I know damn sure well I would not have the composure to promote any project I have going on. I wouldn't care about any other project, but my son. Thank the lord he is alive and vibrant. But this is to say, there is something wrong with the way Joe can promote stuff and talk on end about nonsense when, I don't like saying 'should' but act like you are in mourning for a couple days at least. He done shown all his cards and they are all red and fucked up. I am starting to believe what MJ said about his father. This cat don't give two shits about MJ. That is obvious. Pictures don't lie, your eye does, b/c your brain misinterprets but the wise man can sit back and observe what is really going on. This Joe is a demon, plan and simple.
Seeing Joe on BET, we now we have a reminder of what kind of f**d up MF Michael had to deal with. It explains a hell of a lot.
