Blige and husband Kendu Issacs broke their silence on daughter Briana Latrise's instant Internet fame after she socked her boyfriend Charles Hamilton in the mouth for talking slick [click here if you missed that]. Speaking with Angie Martinez on Hot97 in New York, Mary says of her stepdaughter, "I feel really bad, and it doesn't make me proud for me to see her doing things like that. Its just stupidity. It makes no sense. But as a parent, we love them through [it.] I’m not like ‘yeah son, I’m glad my kid is up there….’ Briana's dad Kendu adds, "Why she didn’t put her body into the punch…." Angie's follow up question asserted, "[But] you have to be somewhat proud that she wont allow someone to disrespect her…" to which Mary replied "Yeah, its cool to defend yourself, or equalize….but why on the Internet?!
