The other day Beanie Sigel released a single dissing his former label boss Jay Z. Yesterday Jay addressed Beanie's gripes at a press conference in Montreal:

With his momma in the sticks, selling 800,000. I don’t know what more you can do for somebody. What people choose to do when they obtain that type of success, at some point you gotta look in the mirror and look at yourself. Beanie Sigel had a record deal, a record label and a clothing line…and never went platinum. Ever. I don’t know in the history of rap has anyone done so much with so little. So, I don’t know what more can you do for a person at that point. A record deal – that’s normal. A record label and a clothing line. If that’s not pushing the person…shit.”

i don't like jay-z, i don't like beyonce, and i definately did not like jay-z after he hooked up with beyonce, but i will be the first to say i side with jay-z on this one. at some point in time, you have got to take responsibility for your own actions. that means what ever money ashy lipped beanie was getting at the hieghts of his pseudo success, he should have saved all of it.

Jay ain't shut shit down. His stans are so brain washed and obviously got nothing from the interview Beanie did with Charlemagne or probably didn't listen to it all. Beans already said he doesn't want money from him and acknowledged that although he and the rest of the Roc were underpaid he admitted his own fuck ups of being in an out of jail, he is upset Jay won't release him out his contract and acting like he doesn't know him. Since Jay is trying to say Beans didn't utilize the opportunities he gave him, just go ahead and release him out of his contract. If you did all you could do for him, just drop from the label it's not hard to do. It's entirely too many people saying the same thing about Jay-Z's character for it to be just a coincidence. Him and Diddy are just alike, they both have a history of being snakes.

I think what you all are missing is...wait for it..THE POINT! Beanie's point doesn't involve wanting money from Jay. Beanie's point doesn't involve what Jay did for him, or what Jay did for anyone else. Beanie's point doesn't involve what Jay has now, or any issues about money.
What Beanie's POINT IS 1) Jay and Beanie were good friends that did business together, and Jay should have been there for Beanie when he was in jail 2) Dame was stealing all kinds of money from Beanie and others who were in Rocafella, so Beanie wasn't getting the so called "$800,00" that Jay claims, 3)Dame and Jay had so many issues between eachother that affected the business as a whole, and everyone in the business' miney 4) When it was time for Beanie to hopefully get out of jail, Jay-z did not support his artist by sponsoring him and 5) Jay-Z has failed to pick up the business of his failed business, and instead focused on himself.
You guys have to remember that in business, its not about oneself, but rather a team. Jay-Z and Dame Dash failed to support and take care of their business. Rocafella wasn't about just Jay. It was about Jay, Dame, Kareem "bigs", Beanie, Memphis Bleek, Young Guns, etc. Jay Z wanted to take on the job of a leadership role, and failed miserably at it. Thats why he was fired from Def Jam as a president and went back to rap. He has no business being in a leader role. He should stick to being a rapper...thats the only thing he is actually ok at..that is, when he is not stealing other people's rythmes and flow.
The moral of the story is, Beanie, you should have never signed to your boy's label because he has no idea how to run a business. Beanie, you should have tried to get out of your contract when you saw Dame was a thief. Beanie, you still have a chance to rap. Beanie, get a lawyer to get you out of your contract. Jay, if you want to be a successful business man and finally make some money for something other than your rap skills, go back to school. Jay, you are a not a real business man, you are a rapper who gained so many fans that you were able to sell other things other than music (ie. clothing, etc). Because he wanted to be a damn hoodrat, I am so glad the Roc is no longer standing with the rest of the crew, Jigga is a one man dynasty. Get over it and Jay doesn't have to go back to school, the whole thing about life is that you get and education to get money to live and take care of your family, I think Jay has proved that without and education, like so many other millionaires, NEXT! I don't put anything past any one of them, and wouldn't doubt that he (and the likes of him) skimmed and swindled others in order to line their own pockets. The sad thing is that if one or two of them are making multi-millions and the others are taking home thousands and/or sometimes working without getting compensated for it, it proves that there is enough money for everyone involved to have a decent income to live off of, and that some people are being just plain greedy.
Enter illegal drugs, drug habits, other criminal activities, lawyers, and the criminal justice system in the mix, and you've got even more mess. The least most people can do (famous or not) is stay out of trouble and stay off drugs.
