big mo, i think that mint condition has a new cd coming out soon and they're always touring. they've put out a few cds over the last few years. granted they have to split the money up about 6 ways, but mint condition is doing fine.

My previous comment @ 8:19 wasn't necessarily regarding marriages that fell apart. I was addressing busted up relationships where children are involved. It's bad for the children either way, and the list of those affected is endless.
Mint Condition now has 5 members: since Keri left, they've formed their own label, tour at least twice a year and have released 2 respectably-selling CDs---their shows sell out more than half the time. His royalties can't last forever, so I wonder how Keri's been supporting the family all these years. It's unfortunate if they split up, but if they do, it's probably because he's tired of her tearing through the money and being a high-maintenance diva. I hope that their boys don't suffer for their issues.

Marriage is a challenge period. It doesn't start like that but everyday living will bring some, I can't imagine when you are a celebrity and you are always under scrutinity not to mention how easy it is to cheat.
How does anyone other than them know that her soon-to-be-ex(?) husband has no income of his own? As a musician he could have been working on a variety of musical projects, or maybe he really didn't have his own income and they were fine with it, but things just didn't work out.
When the celebrity of a couple is male rarely does anyone suggest that the female spouse didn't carry her weight, financially. Most likely Toni made plenty of money for the entire family, but neglected to manage it properly. Just because he isn't in the limelight doesn't mean he has little or no income.
When Morgan Freeman's marriage busted up his wife's income didn't seem to be an issue. Everybody knows Morgan's (ex?) wife is not the famous one of the two, but yet and still whether she had her own money didn't seem to matter when people found out they had split up. Double standards.

Anyone who has sense and knows anything about the music industry knows that the writers, producers and behind the scenes folk often come out better than those with the big record deals. They get paid without the advance (loans)and nake residuals off of future use of their songs (writers).

The music business is not what it use to be and I don't know what type of longetivty or earning potential she thinks she will continue to have in that industry as a singer. Instead of strengthening her marriage and working with her husband to make money in the industry behind the scenes (thats where the real money is at anyway) she still trying to compete with these young chicks and it ain't gonna work, cause this new generation ain't checkin for her no matter how many half-naked outfits she wears.
