Jayson Williams May Lose His Bail

Jayson Williams' latest skirmish with the law might land him in jail. In the past two months Jayson has been arrested twice, violating the conditions of his bail. He's out on a $270,000 bond while awaiting retrial on a manslaughter charge in the 2002 shotgun killing of limo driver Costas Christofi. He's also awaiting sentencing for a conviction on trying to cover up the shooting. Last month Jayson rejected a three-year prison term in exchange for a guilty plea. Mike Tyson's 4 year old daughter is in critical condition and on life support following a freak accident at her Phoenix, AZ home. Initial reports claimed a call was made to 911 saying 4 year old Exodus Tyson had been electrocuted by a treadmill cord, but when paramedics arrived they were told the young girl had been hanging by her neck from the cord. Exodus was found by her 7 year old brother who notified his mother who immediately began CPR.

11 Killed In Concert Stampede

Alicia Keys, Stevie Wonder and others performed at the North African Mawazine Music Festival in Morocco yesterday. On the last night of the week long celebration, 11 spectators, who were among a crowd of 70,000, were crushed to death when a metal stadium fence gave way after fans rushed to leave. Jayson Williams Arrested After Bar Brawl

Scandal prone Jayson Williams cannot manage to stay out of trouble. Jay got arrested in Raleigh, North Carolina Sunday night after getting into a bar fight.

It's the second time in a month that the ex New Jersey Nets player has had a run in with the law. In late April, Jay was tasered [click here for that story] in his Manhattan hotel by officers who said he was suicidal and resisted attempts to take him to a hospital.

In 2004, Jay was convicted of trying to cover up a shooting at his home. Prosecutors said in 2002, he was giving a tour of his estate to friends and his driver Costas "Gus" Christofi at his mansion in Alexandria Township, N.J. While in the master bedroom, he took a 12-gauge shotgun from a case and snapped it closed, according to testimony. The gun fired once, ripping a hole in the chest of Christofi, who died within minutes. Williams then wiped down the weapon and placed it in the wounded 55-year-old man's hands, stripped off his own clothes, handed them to a friend and jumped into his pool, according to testimony.

Before you even ask: This is Charles Hamilton and Briana Latrise, you know, the two battle rappers from yesterday? Charles, an unsigned underground rapper with buzz, and Briana, a budding photographer, poet and Mary J. Blige's stepdaughter via Kendu Issacs, are more than just two random people who stepped to each other on the street for a rap battle. They have an ongoing relationship that unfortunately includes an abortion.

The woman who was the girlfriend of Bobby Cutts -- the Canton, Ohio cop who was convicted of murdering his wife and unborn child in 2007 -- is having fresh legal trouble with a former pop star. Nikki Giavasis went to court May 11 and got a restraining order against Raphael Shawan Brown, a member of the singing group Next. The group charted big time with the song "Too Close" -- about a guy who popped wood on the dance floor and poked his partner. Giavasis says last week, Brown tried entering the gate of her community in the San Fernando Valley, where he was arrested on an outstanding warrant. She says she broke up with Brown a year ago, but he's repeatedly harassed her, including allegedly breaking into her house. She tells us Brown has stolen her $700 shoes and a $1,000 handbag. Giavasis tells us she invested in his group to the tune of $300,000. She says he wrote her a check to pay her back in that amount -- the memo line said "From God." But God didn't have enough money in his account and the check bounced. Giavasis was romantically involved with Bobby Cutts in 1996. She says after they broke up he hounded her for 11 years, once trying to rip custody of her daughter away from her after she got a restraining order against him.

is being sued by his ex-wife, and Dr. Dre baby mama, R&B singer Michel'le for back child and spousal support. According the the Wall Street Journal, Michel'le, who hasn't received a payment from Suge in 3 months, went to the officials in charge of the Knight and Death Row bankruptcy case and asked them to use the estates to pay more the than $40,000 she's owed. Going forward Michele has requested $13,000 a month. Michele married Suge while he was in jail in 1997. Their child, listed only as 'Child X' on the petition, was born in 2002.

King Kids Split Over Film

On Tuesday Steven Spielberg and DreamWorks Studios announced they had purchased the rights to make a film about Dr. Martin Luther King. Swizz Tightening The Screws On Mashonda

Mashonda's friends are snitching that Swizz is trying to play her scurvy. They say he's slashed her support payments from $5,000 a week to $3,500 a month, meanwhile she's seen charges for jewelry Swizz bought Alicia Keys in France. The snitchers also say over the winter the heat went out in Mashonda's 30,000 square feet Westchester mansion and Swizz wouldn't have it fixed. Business Tellers from Swizz's side say the heat was only out in one wing of the house and not where Mashonda and their son were sleeping and that, "Swizz has put settlement offers on the table, but Mashonda won't say what she needs. She just came back from Paris and London. She drives a Bentley Flying Spur and a Cadillac Escalade. I don't think life's too bad for her."

Not really but, there is a shooting involved. On the tv series Degrassi Jr. High, actor turned rapper Aubrey Drake Graham, played Jimmy Brooks whose character was shot in the back by one of his classmates and confined to wheelchair. Over the weekend, Aubrey, who now raps under the stage name 'Drake' had to cut short his Chicago House of Blues concert because of a shooting. Fortunately no one ended up in a wheelchair, but one guy was shot in the ass.

R.I.P

Wayman Tisdale, a three-time All-American at Oklahoma who played 12 seasons in the NBA and later became a top jazz musician, died May 15 at a hospital in Tulsa after a two-year battle with cancer. He was 44.

The Lawsuit Will Go On

The lawsuit to stop Micheal Jackson's London concert series is moving full steam ahead. AllGood Entertainment had a meeting with Michael and Joe Jackson and several others at the Beverly Hills Hotel yesterday and tried to work out the issue. If you'll recall, Mike signed an agreement to perform with his brothers and sister Janet last year [click here] and the contract forbade Mike to sign any contract for 18 months. After backing out and signing on to do the London series AllGood objected. Anyway, the sticking point is the concert was supposed to be pay-per-view and Michael hates that format and refuses to do it.

La La Ejected From Mavericks v Nuggets Game

MTV personality La La was in Dallas to cheer on her fiancee, Denver Nugget Carmelo Anthony, in the Nuggets Mavericks playoff game when all hell broke loose. La La says this incident started after Maverick fans berated her, her son and called them racial slurs. Sports fans claiming to have been present for the almost brawl took to the message boards to say La La was talking loud and slick about the Mavs and that the fans were reacting to her and it got out of hand. Others claim dancing fans bumped into La La and she went off. Who knows what really happened? My question is, why is LaLa the only one being escorted out?

La La released a statement:

"Obviously the play-off games bring out the best and the worst in fans but what happened on Monday night with the racial slurs/threats, verbal attacks on my son and physical attacks to myself by irate fans was unacceptable. The fans were totally out of control. What the cameras captured was me defending myself and didn't show the abuse that was taking place."

MAY 5--Billed as the protégé of rapper/gun enthusiast T.I., Cedric "Alfamega" Zellars is a convicted felon whose songs brag about his status as an "original gangster" and contain de rigeur references to police tape, automatic weapons, and murder. Zellars, who records for T.I.'s Grand Hustle Entertainment, is a hulking 6' 4", calls himself "The Grand Hustle Muscle," and proclaims, "I'm a real hood." What he does not mention, though, is his prior work as a Drug Enforcement Administration informant who snitched out criminal cohorts and testified as a government witness at the trial of an Atlanta heroin trafficker. Court records show that Zellars began working with law enforcement officials after he was sentenced in September 1995 to 110 months in a federal gun case (Zellars, who had a prior felony robbery conviction, was collared for selling weapons to an undercover federal agent). Zellars "agreed to cooperate with authorities and was debriefed" about the criminal activity of several individuals. "In particular he was debriefed concerning the drug trafficking activities of a Mr. Ali Baaqar," according to a government court filing, a copy of which you'll find below. During his cooperation against Baaqar, Zellars met with a DEA agent and a federal prosecutor, and subsequently testified at trial. "Ali Baaqar was convicted of conspiracy to distribute heroin based upon the trial testimony of [Zellars] and others." In return for his snitching, Zellars had 18 months shaved off his prison term when he was resentenced in July 1997 by Judge J. Owen Forrester. A court order signed by Forrester came after federal prosecutors petitioned the jurist to reduce Zellars's sentence in light of his "substantial assistance to the Government." The disclosure of Zellars's informant past will likely not sit well with rap fans and performers alike, many of whom promote hip-hop's "Stop Snitching" doctrine. Additionally, since T.I. (real name: Clifford Harris) is soon headed to prison due to the work of a government informant, Zellars's time as a government asset could be a cause for tension around the Grand Hustle offices.
