The brothers recently formed Bronald Oil and Gas and according to a statement on their website [that you know damn well neither one of them wrote], "Bronald Oil & Gas, LLC is an independent oil and gas company focused on the exploration, production and development of oil and gas reserves from conventional and unconventional formations. The company is initially focused on exploration and development properties in Osage County, Oklahoma, as well as in Texas and Louisiana in the United States and in Central America."

They may have not written the statement on their website, but they are smart as hell when it comes to getting and making that money. These guys have some great people on their team as far as financial advisors. I bet 20 years from now they will still have plenty of money based on the business deals they make today.

The WORLD is rapidly depleting their oil reserves, even Saudi Arabia, so whoever finds new oil first will have unlimited power. Birdman made A LOT of money off of Lil' Wayne, being the founder of Cash Money Records, so they have the capital to pull this off. However, they are competing with over 300 oil companies in the US; most have turned to drilling under the ocean, including Shell. I guess it's possible they overlooked spots of exploration in the US. :-] I applaud their ambition, and joke will be on me if they succeed!

They have been in this business for some time. I mentioned this, as well as another poster, a while back and got thoroughly cussed out. (This may have been when Li'l Wayne was reportedly having some cashflow/repo/lawsuit troubles and Baby was gifting million dollars in suitcases like party favors.) I had simply stated I didn't believe they (Bird-Man and Slim) were broke and had made investments into the oil business from their profits in other businesses.
Regardless, I do hope their investments pan out. As Nubian said, we really do need to look for other resources. America's thirst for oil has left us behind other countries and dependent upon them. I can see wind energy becoming an alternative for crude or even solar coming back to the forefront as the planet strives to become "green".
Interesting reading is the U.S, Standard Oil (British Petroleum), Saudi Arabia, Iraq/Iran and the establishment of OPEC. Unbelievable.

Most of the "green manaufacturing" cars (Toyota Prius, buildings materials) and so forth are coming from China/India and Germany...in 10 years, The oil markets will drop and again..The Chinese, Germans and everyone else will be investing ahead of the game than stupid azz niccaz like these making bad business decisions...Read the Economist magazines and listen to the BBC news people. I don't even bother reading Times, Wall Street Journal or listen to CNN/MSNBC...people need to wake up and recognize that the Chinese and other countries are putting the finanical strangle hold on foreign oil/investments--ThatBKChick
