Call me crazy, but when I see one of my folks being done wrong, I speak up on it. It's possible to respectfully disagree with a group while maintaining your professionalism. The fact is that they ganged up on him, and as a Black woman, NN should have stepped back and done the right thing.

I don't get anything wrong with the decision that Niecy made. When you're on live tv, stage, etc., you expect things to go a certain way. I don't think she was defending that lady, moreso than she was protecting her dumbass. she's like "stfu, bitch, this is a crazy fool and i don't wanna see him slap your ass on live tv" that lady sacrificed her safety for tv ratings, that's the real mess and that's typical. Everyone knows Gary is a little poor angry black man, but, i don't think his anger has been ever been filmed or appropriately directed as in this situation.
i, personally, don't think this is completely a racial issue, like it's been said before but people continue to go only to race, it's also a size and circumstance issue. Everyone knows that while Black men may not be respected, they are most definately feared. this wouldn't happen to shaq. i am a conscious, confident, strong empress and there is nothing i'm more proud of than my black people, but, i travelled a long hard journey to get to this point, everyday my eyes are opened even wider to the attacks made on my people.that's the same journey every other unconscious black queen or king will have to tred to open their own eyes.
