Wonder if the cameras were rolling when Real Housewives of Atlanta's NeNe Leakes got the call that her son had been arrested on drug charges.
NeNe's son Bryson got detained on March 7 for possession of less than one ounce of marijuana and failure to appear. NeNe decided not to bail him out. Of course she tweeted about it.

he been looking terrible and very sad since season 2. Instead of fighting with Kim whose kids appear happy and well adjusted she should find out what is going on with her son who looks like he needs a good bath, haircut and shave.
None of these folks think about the affect the aftermath of these shows have on their children. Name one reality tv celebrity family who's children hadn't gone off the deep end post-show. John & Kate kids are probably giving their teachers hell right about now.
But she's giving him tough love right now. Okay. Bryson needs to get his butt back in school for real. He's needs to grow up.

@shaqua Reality shows have nothing to do with this situation. NeNe and her fam were fucked up before the cameras started rolling, and let's not forget this bump on a log was already a grown-ass man before the show even came on the air.
I was always sickened by the way NeNe made excuses for this luza boy of hers and how she constantly pushes him to be around Dwight, he is probably on the low and having them mo withdrawl symptoms so he represses them by getting high, he dont look like a weed smoker he looks to be on a stronger downer than that
That reality show doesn't have a damn thing to do with how that boy turned out. The REALITY is he was damn near grown when the show stared. None of you remember them going to get him a car for his H.S. graduation? You don't remember the episode where he was touring colleges??? Its damn sure a little too late to be trying to parent him now. That man is grown. Instead of her swinging from polls and looking for a sugar daddy she should've been raising her son. Perhaps instead of being tardy for the party with Kim she should've been at home. Lets not forget she has a younger child by Gregg. So hopefully that child doesn't head down the wrong path also. Looking at that mugshot that boy looks so damn sad. That isn't just sad from being locked up that is sadness from the life he is living. Damn shame. DO BETTER NENE!!!
yea he looks sad, depressed, but him being in the streets and selling drugs is going to make it worse. she needs to get him to a private one on one therapy session, a life coach or male mentor or something. bravo pays her enough to help him do this, hell even her husband can chip in and provide that male role model, find out what kind of hobbies he likes, get him passionate about doing something, he has to start from somewhere

You really hate to see a another young man get caught up in the drug life -- especially one who appears to have grown up in a household with a (step?)father.
NeNe, this is a hint and a half that it's time to step up like when the Real Housewives of OC chicks had to when their sons got mixed up in drugs.
I hope he is able to get centered and turn his life around.

Nene is right. We only saw a little of how she and Greg spoiled his ugly, silly self first season. When he refused to go back to college, they should not have let him move back home. Luckily he is not into any bigger mess than this. I hope he tries to get back in school. Nothing out here for him on the streets. (and no Bryson, you are not going to be a "club promoter"!)
OK…this dude is grown, so lets not be too harsh on Nene . With some kids, at some point, you have to let them learn their lessons the hard way….and my gosh it was LESS THAN AN OUNCE of marijuana (not cocaine, crack, heroin….). I think I read on this site a few days ago that weed is only illegal because the government can’t tax it (I know someone who has been saying that for years).

You can't blame Nene for the decisions her GROWN son makes. When he was a minor in Nene's care I have not seen anything yet saying he was a juvenile delinquent and out of control so she must have been doing something right. You teach your kids right from wrong and then they chose which path to follow as adults.

Yeah, he is legally grown and no, NN does not have to do anything but it wouldn't hurt her to at least find out what is going on. Very few 18/19 y.o.'s have even half the answers,they still need guidance, esp.young Black men.
I hate when people get dreads because they're lazy. Dreads and locks do not mean low maintenance they have to be worked on regularly or you will end up looking like the Preditor.

I'm sure she was embarrased by this. On the show she flaunted like their $$$ was overflowing but her son gets busted for hustling? Hustling for what, $$$ he should already have? Makes no sense unless she cut him off prior to this arrest. Still very embarrasing to say the least.

On another note, I agree with the poster who said it is time for some old school child rearing. Like the bible says, 'Idol hands are the devil's workshop.' So when parents decide to let their kids drop out of college and not have a job, then what do you expect him to do with all of his free time?!
Yes, he is LEGALLY an adult, but far from responsible and mature. He still needs guidance, and part of that guidance should have been gaining the "college experience".
If this boy was a college drop-out with no job and STILL living under his mother's roof, then it IS NeNe's fault.
Give him homelessness as option thus an opportunity to make wiser decisions.
What pisses me off about this whole situation is this boy had a FULL PAID college tuition. Not many kids (especially black males) get that opportunity! Whatever, he makes me sick. He is just a spoiled brat who wants attention. His momma ain't no better either!
