too young to have a perm....mel's texture is not like her childs....so....go to the black hair care solon and watch them do the childs hair....some bows ,bobo's.....get goody ouchless rubberbands(they hold hair tight in a pony tail,without pulling hair,to remove ,put a little oil/greese on the goody band and it will release)put the childs hair in a bunch of little pony tails twist the hair to the end,put a goody rubberband on the end or a barret.No perm/use a flat iron(chi) is the best cost about $120.00.Flat iron ,the challs hair once every 2 weeks with some pink lotion or some hair oil,the press will last and make the childs hair smooth without a perm...see mel i just gave you several ideas...my hair is thin like indian hair and my daughters hair is course...I took time to figure out how to do the course hair.If u can take time out to workout on that body of yours you can flat iron that chiles hair with a "chi"......
