Fat and Sexy tour not canceled just over.
Rumors were flying this week when it was announced Maxwell had canceled the remaining leg of his concert tour because his interchanging opening acts, Jill Scott and Erykah Badu, kept going over their allotted stage times.
Truth: The only dates canceled were the dates with Melanie Fiona.
So where did the rumors of discord come from?
Classic gossip trait: It was a tiny bit of truth wrapped in exaggeration.
It's very true, Eyrakh Badu and Jill Scott both repeatedly went way over their allotted stage times, causing confusion about exactly who was headlining the tour, but it's not the reason it was canceled.
Fire Media released a statement saying the remaining dates were canceled “Due to scheduling conflicts with the venues."
Still sounds fishy, but there you have it.

Grown folks take care of rumors real quick. Put out a statement and extinguish a fire. Let this have been Trey Songz, Keyshia Cole and some other rats on tour and this whole thing would've played out on Twitter, YouTube and Media Take Out.
That said, I still don't doubt the fact that Badu and Jill have some bitch in 'em, but Max is the biggest bitch of 'em all. The fact that they couldn't work it out is still suspect.

I don't know what the fuck is goin on now, but I attended the show with ONLY Jill Scott and Maxwell and it was cool between the both of them. They both showed out and gave us our monies worth! Maybe the horny ladies wanted to fuck Maxwell and he wasn't up to it.
still the same result ..............no more concert dates..... 6 in one hand 1/2 a dozen in another....... what is the difference?

Why would anyone be confused about who headlined the tour if Erykah and Jill always went on first? It's common knowledge that the headliner performs last. They probably cancelled because no one wanted to see Melanie so tickets weren't selling. I wouldn't pay that much just to see Maxwell.
Sorry but Jill Scott has an attitude and I bet she was the reason for the tour ending. She seems real salty half the time. She should focus on losing that weight instead of running her mouth.

She recently did an interview in Essence Magazine complaining about black men who date white women. It was completely ridiculous. Her playing "poor me" when she should be focusing on raising the kid she had for a man she KNEW was no good. Bitter.
@3:07. Jill caught a lot of flack for that interview. I don't know if she seems salty all the time but she definitely pushed buttons with that one. I know this is just more gossip (on a gossip site, ;( @ 1:06 am) but I heard she was hard to work with on her HBO series...serious diva behavior, and in part it's why her series was cancelled. Can't say I ever watched it though. Maybe it was low ratings....

i call B.S. on this one...just got back from the show in Philly. Jill and Max had much love for each other and the show was great! real singers, real musicians and real love!! Jill was stunningly great and Maxwell had the girls going crazy and even us fellas couldn't front...

Melanie Fiona doesn't cut it for me as a show starter so I'll pass on her, and especially the remake of The Zombies song that she did. She could have come up with original music for "Give it to me Right". This ticket is not for her, because she is too much pop tart and not enough soul. I won't go to a concert featuring her unless it is free or dirt cheap.
I don't know anything about Maxwell, so I'm wondering why anyone would suggest he'd be just as likely to throw a hissyfit as Erykah or Jill. One would have to be an utter fool to leave money on the table during an economic recession. Whenever their music is hot, they need to milk it for all it is worth.
