The term "class" in this sense is having decorum or "home training", intelligence, style, good manners, more open-minded and has more exposure to things outside of their own bubble. It's always been assumed people who have these qualities are usually wealthy people in the "upper class.", but Paris Hilton, Lindsey Lohan (even though she comes from middle class roots), and the Kartrashians proved us wrong.

I'm sorry but 5:01 and 12:43 my nigga you ARE DEAD ON POINT. I just started modeling part time and I only do promo pics for advertisement purposes (clubs, events) here in Dade, and let me tell you, when a flyer goes out and somebody (usually a female) recognizes me at work, school, etc you won't believe the dirty looks I get. I'm like wtf are YOU mad about? I'm only doing what YOU would do IF you could do it. And they've also thrown that "classy" speech at me as well; ALOT of females don't know the jist of being/looking provocative- it automatically puts you in the 'skank', 'sleaze' or 'ho' category JUST because you know how to appease the man's eye and THEY don't. Hmm uber interesting. As a female, I think its a personal choice. I agree with 5.01 men aren't trying to see the librarian when its freak time. You have to be able to switch it up. Personally I've had the opportunities present themselves - but I've chosen to do conventional work - just a little here and there (print ads or product shots) that don't require exposure.
I've chosen to do that because of my family's conservative outlook.

The "class" you talking about is indeed a system of a person's level in life, and like it not, Americans are classist too, even though most people don't see it or admit it, but I digress.
The term "class" in this sense is having decorum or "home training", intelligence, style, good manners, more open-minded and has more exposure to things outside of their own bubble. It's always been assumed people who have these qualities are usually wealthy people in the "upper class.", but Paris Hilton, Lindsey Lohan (even though she comes from middle class roots), and the Kartrashians proved us wrong.
I hate when black folks want to look down on other folks who want to have more decorum, intelligence, manners, etc. Not every black person in America has to be a loud, ignorant, ratchet-ass hoodrat/nigga that that they got their own category on Hotghettomess.com. Just because we won't be seen on the same level, "class" wise by White America, even if one of us had better manners than Queen Elizabeth, doesn't mean we should run around acting a fool.
