Tyler Perry's production of 'For Colored Girls who have Considered Suicide when the Rainbow is Enuf' was supposed to open during Martin Luther King Holiday weekend 2011, but Tyler pushed the date up so he could be considered during this year's award season. The new opening date is November 5.

The acting and technical aspects like editing, costuming and makeup in this movie better be hella good, cause Tyler can't direct a movie to save his life. Hopefully someone else handled the screenwriting too cause Tyler also lacks in that area. Before you say "what about Precious," keep in mind that movie was already done and on the indie circuit before Tyler attached his name to it.

Precious was FUCKING GARBAGE. Anything Oprah & Tyletta get their grimy hands on in the film department is usually disturbing & downright offensive with that whole "downtrodden, immoral black ppl spheel" FUCK THOSE ESTABLISHMENT NIGGAS!!
As for Colored Girls, Tyla Fairy had no right messing with a Broadway classic. I can see all the men in this film (MINUS the light skinned manginas) being evil & bad & all the women being these sympathetic protagonists, just like they would be in Tyla's own chitlin circuit films. NEXT!!

I'm still mad about Tyletta getting his I-could-be-a-better-Black-woman-than-ANY-Black-woman hands on this script. The man clearly hates the fact that he was born a man, so he takes that out on women by trying to tell them how they should be.
Now instead of putting out a quality product he's using "For Colored Girls..." to get an award. I seriously doubt he truly has us Sistas in mind. Tyletta is going to edit this movie in a way that caters to the White Folks of the Academy. Just watch.
There is not a black person I know, male or female, who saw this show on Broadway and was not profoundly moved. Even if it pissed them off they were profoundly moved. Tyler better not fcuk this up.

FYI I have never seen a Tyler Perry film and those I know who have seen them have seen them BOOTLEG or FREE on the internet.People can complain about his films if they want. If Tyler has the freedom to make ridiculous, minstrel movies, audiences have the freedom to ridicule them.
