Who remembers back in February when all those pictures from Alicia Keys and Beyonce's video set in Brazil for Alicia's 'Put it in a Love Song' flooded the 'Net? What ever happened with that?
According to Destiny's Child Rumors Beyonce showed Alicia Keys up so bad the video had to scrapped!
"Alicia's people didnt have 100% belief in the song, Alicia [read: Swizz] was pushing it more and she wanted Beyonce to be apart of it. Alicia's people still refused, main reason being they thought that it was more of a Beyonce ft Alicia, rather than Alicia being a dominant artist on the track. Basically, next to Beyonce, Alicia was over shadowed. So they canned "Put It In A Love Song" and opted for "Unthinkable" instead. They thought the fans would react better to "Unthinkable". "Put It In A Love Song" would have been a huge summer smash and Alicia knows it"

When you release a song, you need to promote it. Bey's on a "break" and Alicia is about to burst any minute with her baby Toucan. The video maybe released as a bonus on some upcoming project in the future.

As others have said, it's good that the video was canned. That ridiculous song shouldn't have been recorded in the first place let alone released as a single with an accompanying video. Alicia, "Alicia's people," Beyonce--Imma need all of y'all to do better next time.
I think it was more of A.Keys getting outstage than popularity of the song. Because Beyonce could put out a song about ABC's and her fans would swear it was the anthem of the year. Just look at the pics Bey's costume is more vibrant and colorful. While A.Keys looks like she's one of the long lost Destiny's Children. Which is why Bey is not featured on too many other artists songs. She likes to upstage them. or it could a be pregnant woman insecurities. Damn that Beyonce!
