JJ Fad accused Will.I.Am of sampling Supersonic without permission for Fergilious.
George Clinton is suing Will.I.Am right now claiming he lifted a significant portion of 'Knee Deep' even after George refused to clear the sample.
And there there was that one group called Phoenix who sued Will for ripping off their song 'Boom Boom Dynamite'.

Uhhhhhh. The Simpsons comparison is lame. The note progression is totally different and repeating a single word is nothing new.
It sounds like he recut SOME beat elements (he also added a LOT of new stuff) from JJ Fad and Fergie swiped their flow cadence... but almost ALL THE LYRICS are different! Lots of old school hip hop used basic synth beats as their background so I'm not sure how much of a case they have.

12:36 PM, It's not that Black people aren't original. Many are, but notice how everytime Black folks come up with something good/hot/popular/etc. (and ultimately profitable), other people get in on it and get their cut. As the saying goes: "They won't let us have nothing to ourselves".
