After languishing on the market for over a year Eve finally sold her house in the Hollywood Hills...
In January 2010 Eve put the Hollywood Hills home she purchased back in 2005 for $1.78 million on the market for $2.3 million bucks [click here if you missed that]. Well apparently that $2.3 was just wishful thinking. Eve finally let the crib go for $1.33 mill at a nearly $400,000.00 loss.

at any point in time a fire could start and spead and damage a bunch of homes in Calif, you never know when you will be next. so its not really a loss.

When will these ignorant, 'I ain't used to nothing' celebrities learn about living above their means? We all know housing can not only appreciate, but depreciate as well. So why buy more house than you can afford?! Why does a single woman need a house that size and in Hollywood, none the less?! At least have enough common sense to buy a home that size for half the price in your home town instead of the cesspool that is Hollywood.
And spare me the bull about the economy! Yes, we are in a deep recession--this is not the first recession and it certainly won't be the last! This is why we are SUPPOSED to live frugally and save for a rainy day.
This IS, IN FACT, news because Eve obviously needed the money from the sale of the house or else she would have held on to the house until the housing market rebound; which is inevitable.
The bottom line is: When you give money to people who still have a poverty mentality, they will always squander the money because they are too excited by the money itself and not the opportunities the money creates-- for themselves and future generations of their family.
Eve is a loser just like every other person who lives above his/her means, is too stupid to learn from the mistakes of the masses, and buys into this consumerism mentality that plagues society.

I don't envy these celebs one bit. I'm sure it has to be MUCH worse to have been rich and lost it than to always have lived a stable, middle class life. And at least most of us can go get another job after the recession is over. In Hollywood, once you're over, you're OVER.
...and wildfire, come on. I am a Hurricane Katrina survivor who lost a home as a result. If you have insurance, you get all of your money and then some. There are natural disaster risks no matter where you live. That is the lamest excuse I've ever heard to deflect from the fact that this fool's career is basically over and she needs to generate cash and FAST!!
