New Edition Reuniting for 2012 Tour

New Edition, including Bobby Brown, are reuniting for a new album and tour to coincide with the 30th anniversary of their first album "Candy Girl"...

From Contact Music
New Edition are planning a major 2012 reunion tour to prepare for their 30th anniversary celebrations.

The grown-up boy band, featuring Bobby Brown and Ronnie DeVoe, will be working on live dates, a book, movie and stage play as well as a new album next year (12) in a bid to have multiple products on the market in time for the 30th anniversary of the release of the group's first album Candy Girl in 2013.

DeVoe tells Billboard.com, "2012 is going to be an incredible year for us."

The reunited group will kick off 2012 with a four-day New Year's weekend run of concerts in Highland, California and then the sextet, which also features Johnny Gill and Ralph Tresvant, hope to begin work on their first album of new material since 1996's Home Again.

One time appearance maybe. Tour, not likely.

My .02 cents... said...

I need concert dates please. I didn't miss a NYC New Edition concert growing up.

Real singing, choreography...and nobody calling me a b*tch, hoe, slut, skeezer.. and still wanting me to spend my money on them.

Being sensual without being explicit.

*Yep...telling my age*

Judging from their faces on the photo, Johnny Gill must be the only one happy about it. But Good Luck to them, even to Bobby (yall know he need that money bad).

P.S.:I hope they keep their dance choreography underwraps so you know who --->Beyswaggerjacker won't clip them again for their routines.

@ 2:24 That photo is from BET Awards 2005. On top of that they have been touring their whole lives so no worries on their dance moves. Bobby Brown has been touring with Ralp and Johnny Gill as the super group Heads Of State for the past 3 years. Trust Bobby ain't hurting these days, and might I add he's been drug free for the past 5 years. Don't nobody better talk bad about N.E. while i'm around.

2:48 - Girl, please. I love me some NE! In no way was I talking bad about them. I feel exactly like you do when it comes to these negroes. I was on here singing Candy Girl and Cool It Now when I heard that they're getting back together. I would LOVE to see them perform and I wish them all the luck in the world. To me, they will always be The Original Maestros of Hip Hop for my generation.

@2:12

Don't be ashamed I'm right behind you. We know what real music sounds like!!

^^^Make that three of us. 2:12, only us 'dinosaurs' know the value of profane-free music, with performers who care enough about the fans to give a timely, enjoyable performance. I hope STL is on the list, or a city nearby. Worth the drive for me.

That NE Heartbreak album is, present tense, an absolute classic. Men can't sing like that anymore, lest they be called gay. Nowadays, you can't tell the difference between r&b and rap.

Yes indeed all positive comments instead of one apple in the bunch & @4:03 time to do some research haha it's all good it's still time to catch up on NE.

SMH at you Bitch. NE put out an album (of new material) from Bad Boy in 2004 called One Love. If you don't have it go cop yourself a copy. Tight!

Thank GOD, i love when these cats go on tour. i hope I get to see them in NC. it will be interesting to hear how Ralph's music will turn out. I always thought that Tyreese, a much younger man, took over Johnny Gills place in the deep voice section of R&B. johnny should settle down and sang gospel music, that would work out better for him at this point. good luck John Boy
