Another real estate debacle for Terrell Owens -- who just struck a deal to sell his pimped out Dallas condo for $350,000 LESS than he bought it for ... TMZ has learned.
Here's the deal -- Owens paid $1.95 for his 3,559-square foot Dallas condo back in 2008, when he was still with the 'Boys ... and pumped an additional $100k into the place for various upgrades.
But that was back when Owens had money ...
Now, in the wake of his financial issues, Owens was forced to sell the place ... but thanks to that pesky real estate bubble, it's worth SIGNIFICANTLY less now.
So, Owens got his bank to accept a short sale on the pad ... in which the bank agreed to take less money than what's owed on the loan ... and thereby avoided the pain in the ass foreclosure process.
TMZ has learned ... some wealthy opportunist bought the place last month for $1.6 mil.
As we previously reported, T.O. took a $56,000 loss on another property last month ... and he still has no job in the NFL.

I never understand why these people with millions of dollars don't just buy a place upfront in cash instead of having all these mortgages???

You have mortgages so you can deduct the interest payments from your tax bill every year. This makes you entire tax liability much lower - one of those loopholes that only people who own property understand.
People with mortgages help the economy which is why this country will never recover until people can afford to own homes again. If everyone paid cash for their homes, the banking system would collapse since most of them make money off mortgages, not personal or even business banking.
TO's mistake was falling behind on his payments, he should have had savings.

I bet a lot of these rich athletes think that money will last forever, but Terrell has no excuse for his poor decision making self. A little humility right now will take him further than he realizes.
Whoever buys that condo needs to divide the money up between his children's mothers' because that is exacatly where that money is going!! T.O still won't see a dime of it.
One thing that struck me about him when he played for Dallas was that he was beyond arrogant and not humble at all! Hebrought this on himself.I remember on his reality show he was spending thousands on his earrings and things like that but yet he is supposed to have trouble paying child support? Why wouldnt these men take a lump sum of their money and place it into an account soley for their kids, so that in the event they are no longer working the child support is still covered and the kids lives are not really affected. this man made millions but he spent most of it on himself. Any judge would have been cool with him setting aside 10 million to be spread out over 18 years.I dont know how many children or mothers there are but 10 million spread out over 18 years is $555,555 a yr and that is about $49,296 a month! That would have been more than enough to raise his children on.See, what happens when you lack humility? Put your children first.
