Two people there were tied up when Atlanta-based rapper Yung Joc’s studio was robbed Saturday night, police say.

Police were called to a home in the 1300 block of Boyd Avenue in northwest Atlanta around 5:30 a.m., Sunday, where police said roughly $50,000 in studio equipment was taken by strong-arm bandits.

The house is used as a recording studio, and police told Channel 2 that the rapper, whose real name is YaMar Jon Robinson, owns the property.

A man and woman had stepped out of their vehicle and two armed men jumped out of the bushes and forced them inside, Atlanta Police spokesman Sgt. Curtis Davenport said.

The man and woman, reportedly are caretakers of the studio, were forced into a house and bound with duct tape and zip ties, police say.

The bandits took recording equipment, two long guns and an undisclosed amount of cash.

The two people were able to free themselves and run to a friend’s home a mile away to call police, according to reports from Channel 2 Action News.

No injuries were reported and no arrests have been made, according to police.
