Liv sat down with Power 105 and explains why she's holding out for a better deal...
Olivia says,

I don't get what's wrong with the deal. You gotta crawl before you walk. These corporate record labels are no longer looking for people with a passion for music and singing. They are looking for people that can produce and generate a huge $$ output with very little $$ input. Isn't this chick in her 30's now? I don't think liv is as hot as she think she is. December was a nice song but I realty can't recall any of her music. I like her singing hooks though. I am glad she didn't take the contract because it was a horrible deal. At least she smart enough to believe in herself despite what we think and recognize a bad deal wrapped in a pretty bow.

There could have been all kinds of clauses in that EMI contract (especially because she's not a "sure thing") that may have morally or financially F*CKED her and her team up, and the girl has every right to turn that down if so. Stop acting like thirsty, hateful chickens!!

FYI..When she first came on the scene (with Bizounce), Alicia Keys came out around the same time with Fallin'. Olivia said Clive gave Alicia a particular persona and gave her one that she disagreed with because it wasn't her and was hard to go along with. She blamed that on her failure the first time around.

LOL @ 4:10pm Your post got me thinking and the last time I bought a CD was around that time as well! The truth is with mp3's available legally and illegally most artists aren't making good enough albums for me to want to drop 9.99 and up for their cd. If I like a song or two I will download them and spend 2-3 dollars instead of buying the whole cd or spending 5 dollars on the single like i used to have to do in the 90's. Mp3 really did hurt the music business even the legal ones gave it a hit. Instead of buying a cd most people just download the ones they like and call it a day. I want to download robin thickes new album on amazon it is 3.99.
