Lil Kim Wins Sucka Free Stand Off

Over the weekend Lil Kim blasted MTV2 for promoting a Biggie Smalls tribute show co-hosted by Kim and her former Junior Mafia cohort turned arch enemy Lil Cease [click here if you missed that].

Looks like MTV got the memo because Kim and Cease recorded their segments separately...

In Kim's segment she explains why it took her so long to release new music.

Kim tells DJ Envy,
“When I came home from prison in 2006, I was really unhappy with my label so I wanted to get off, and I didn’t get released. I wasn’t dropped. I had to pay them. So, at the end of the day, it’s like that takes time. For two years, I fought and fought and fought and finally there was a break. During those two years, I did my Hollywood thing, doing reality shows, ‘Dancing With The Stars’ and all that good stuff. But in between me doing ‘Dancing With The Stars’, I struck up another deal. I did deal with Track Masters, and it didn’t work out, but that took another year or two. And contractually, by the courts, I could not record any music—I wasn’t supposed to put any music out.”
