I knew my girl still had it in her. Haters, please eat shit!!!
All it took was Eve saying she was mentally unstable. IJS
Co-sign with 3:27!
I think you mean The IndigO2, don't you?
I was worried for a second about her, we don't need another drugged out lost soul in the music industry.
sorry boo you lost me with that shit you pulled
Take it slowly baby girl. Hone that craft and flee from all philosophical delusions and you'll be alright. Sit at the feet of Gladys and Patti, and not those who aspire to be Bob. And sexy that chit up a lil bit too... ain't nuthin wrong with showing a little more of that beautiful, milk chocolate skin in taste...
she must be putting this on an album or something because I've never heard her perform this good.... she musta got tired of the naysayers. ole girl still got it
She sounds like she smokes a couple of packs a day.
@4:09 thats what made people fall in love with her, that husky voice with power is what the fans love about her...take yo funky ass somewhere tryin da throw shade
only 10 comments huh. ppl only like it when u fuck up. on those other posts where she messed up, 50+ comments. fck all u fakes
She sounds fantastic :D
Lauryn was always thorough in my opinion, everyone else just wasn't apt to her call.
Welcome back Lauryn.. I STILL FEEL.. WHYTHEFT sorry Wycliff, DID something to Lauryn because she refused to regroup The Fugees. When I SAW Wycleff PALAVERING WITH Bush/Clinton in Hait, plus misusing the charity funds then had the cheek to try and tun go president.
LOL!!!RUN FOR^^^ sorry guys im a bit typsy
Yes take it slow...L
...are her nips showing in that pic?
Hoodrat I was literally laughing out loud at them comments you just made especially that reply comment.
^^ this bitch lives on this blog.
"Nothing Even Matters" essentially made my whole week. Like, that one live rendition pulled down its underwear and panty hose and took a sh*t on "Roman...blah blah colors and candy..."
Still not a good sign when your BG Singers are filling in "the High notes" for ya; i'm talking a bout the Ex-Factor clip. She sounding better...but still a ways to go. Vocally she is suffering the same fate as Whitney; notice how she rushes her singing to make it seem that she is singing with conviction and skill...but no cigar, figuratively. She needs to find herself at a good Ear-Nose-Throat Doctor pronto so she can go through vocal rehab. That means no shows and vocal performing for a long while, but she could possibly get some of her former vocal prowess back. There's still work to be done, and she can start by cutting out the smoking and possible boozing.
Snitch aint getting shit right today!
CO-SIGN 5:31. ARETHA CAN STILL BLOW. GLADYS IS A MORMON, AND SHE CAN STILL BLOW. TAMIA HAS MS, AND SHE CAN STILL TEAR THE ROOF OFF. LAURYN HAD AN ALBUM THAT SHE BOTH LIED ABOUT WRITING AND PRODUCING, AND WAS SUCCESSFULLY SUED AND COLUMBIA PAID OUT LARGE SUMS TO KEEP IT QUIET TO OBSERVE THE SO-CALLED "LEGACY" OF WHAT YOU PEOPLE KEEP ON SHOWING UP TO IN ORDER TO RELIVE THE LATE 90'S. SHE'S LOST WHAT LITTLE SHE DID HAVE. GET OVER IT. ENOUGH NOSTALGIA.
HoodRat said...@4:09 thats what made people fall in love with her, that husky voice with power is what the fans love about her...take yo funky ass somewhere tryin da throw shade4:16 PMAll that shade you threw in last post about her!!! Not to mention your comment here.I wish you'd take your own advice: take yo funky ass somewhere tryin da throw shade
I felt she did a good job esp on nothing matters. it was better than what i've heard in the past yr or two. She needs improvment i do agree she lost her high notes..she needs vocal training but i got emotional on nothing even matters it was slower so i was able to hear what she sounded like i'm like owww i miss ya girl. Keep it up!!!Ps: yea after Eve's comment (even tho Hill was making stops) i noticed she was like bam bish my ass is stable enough to be on this stage making $$ while ur out calling me crazy!!! lmao w/e`Plumdiva84
QUEEN LAURYN WILL RECLAIM HER THRONE.
Wow Lauryn has real nice teeth. Those teeth don't look fake Nor do they look like the teeth of a Drug Addict...
Y'all hoes smoking. She does not sound all that.
I don't know about Lauryn anymore. Sometimes she's got it together and others not. I think the quality of her performance all depends on what the voices tell her. She's still extremely talented, but she's too flaky these days to ever achieve the level of success she once had. She's just not dependable & you never know what you're gonna get.
Her backup singer sounds goods.
i could have lived without a shot of looking up Lauryn's nostrils...she did ok, praying she stays on the meds...
LOL @ Snitch using the pic of her nip slip.
Lauren, luv you baby, continue to bring it. Like Whitney, you are another one of those rare talents. May God bless and keep you.
Like an old boxer sticking and moving... Her instrument isn't what it used to be. If she is not able to regain her vocals this is what the remainder of her live career will sound like...
People love to see others in a bad way and I just don't get it . . . perhaps because I was taught to look for the good in others and leave the rest . . .however, since the haters will hate, the lovers and respecters of love will call them O W T: t’s been over a decade since the critically-acclaimed 'The Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill', but it still remains one of the greatest albums of the 1990s, even making it onto Rolling Stone’s ‘500 Greatest Albums Of All Time,’ which is the reason she still packs out venues despite the eccentric behaviour and cryptic proselytizing that has come to characterise her shows.Although the audience is fairly restless, Lauryn takes to the stage at a very reasonable 9.30pm, looking every inch a ghetto superstar in a floor-length gold dress combined with army parka jacket, accessorized with some serious gold jewellery. The crowd immediately starts chanting “Lauryn Lauryn,” to which Lauryn replies with “London London,” before throwing herself into singing ‘I Get Out.’ If there are any questions about whether she still has it, they are swiftly quashed by her strong and clear vocals. She tells the audience: “A lot has happened and I’ve missed you, but we cut through so we can get back to doing what needs to be done.”And this is precisely what Lauryn does tonight as she begins with a medley of songs from The Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill, including ‘Everything Is Everything’ with a skillful acapella finale, ‘Superstar’ with its sampling of The Doors’ ‘Light My Fire’ and a powerful rendition of ‘Forgive Them Father.’With strong electric guitar and drum arrangements, the first half of the show has a rockier edge than we are used to seeing from Lauryn, especially on ‘Final Hour’ and the sweeping ‘To Zion,’ where Lauryn’s backing band are each given a chance to show their skills with a series of solos.Mid-way through the tempo slows down, and Lauryn shows off her gospel influences as she performs ‘Sweetest Thing,’ ‘When It Hurts So Bad’ and ‘I Used To Love Him.’Her soaring vocals on ‘Nothing Even Matters’ are complimented by her male backing singer who stands in for D’Angelo, but then Lauryn changes the pace with an emotional performance of ‘Lost Ones’ and ‘The Ex Factor.’During the show Lauryn is obviously unhappy with the sound, and she takes this opportunity to slow things down again and sort it out, telling the audience (and the sound engineers): “Let’s mellow it down to get the levels right.”A low-tempo cover of Bob Marley’s ‘Satisfy My Soul’, ‘Could You Be Loved’ and ‘Turn Your Lights Down Low’ are superbly executed, and the Marley tribute is rounded off with a funk-tinged version of Stevie Wonder’s ‘Master Blaster (Jammin).’Lauryn picks up the pace once more, asking “How many Fugees fans do we have in the house tonight?” eliciting screams from all corners of the venue, before launching into a high-energy Fugees medley of ‘How Many Mics,’ ‘Fu-gee-La’ and ‘Ready Or Not.’The night finished with a powerful performance of ‘Do- Wop (That Thing),’ showing off her legendary machine-gun delivery and tomboy swagger. It was the perfect end to a blisteringly good set, leaving the audience in no doubt that she has left the problems of last decade behind her and is back on track to reclaim her place as one of the greatest artists of recent decades.
@5:31 COSIGNWas wondering if ppl were hearing the same thing that I was hearing. The first two vids were not the old Lauryn @ ALL! Granted, she did sound better than more recent days, but again, it was rushed singing; the same thing that Whitney was doing when she was losing her voice. Now, I will give her props for "nothing even matters", cause she did sound a bit better there, but dude singing with her was outshining her, IMO....
Well, I was there, and I felt honoured to be there. She kicked ass! And regardless in how the media wants to portray her - and we know why - she was absolutely amazing. Her lyrical finesse and overall intelligence is a counteraction against the non factors in the music industry. Read between the lines!Nonetheless, the show was amazing. She connected. She rocked. She conquered. She's coming back, slowly but surely. Watch her, but she is doing it in her own time.I don't give a damn about her personal life. I just care - as I am an artiste myself - about her creativity. She is a breath of fresh air and I will never stop supporting her.*deuces*
She still crazy as a two headed roach!!! I'm Just Saying!!!
QUEEN LAURYN HILL IS BACK!!!!
