Marc Debarge, of the 80s singing group Debarge, was arrested on suspicion of drug possession this week...
Marc was visiting a friend in a Los Angeles hotel on Wednesday when the pal's parole officer made a routine visit and discovered drugs.
Mark and his pal were both placed under arrest. Marc was booked on narcotics possession charges and released.

I hope he gets better, I don't bash people with addictions because one doesn't know what led a person to this point, everyone has a story.
We need more affordable drug rehab clinics and facilities in the United States, than we do prisons. Oh, but I guess helping drug addicts is last on the list of the folks who are making money off the prisons that house the drug dealers.

I'm starting to think that the only clean DeBarge is their mother but by the way she acts I wouldn't be surprised if she was on something herself.
This family is cursed with drug and alcohol addiction. This is heartbreaking.
Addiction can be a very slow death that is painful to watch, particularly in people so talented. It seems as if nothing but God can stop it, and usually that is exactly what happens. The story of the DeBarge family is an American tragedy.
If anyone ever saw the story of the Debarges all of those kids were traumatized by their father. Counseling and drug treatment programs should be more affordable and available than jails like previously stated.
I like that most of these comments are all non-judgment and compassionate. The Debarges gave us some great music but had to deal with allot in their personal lives. Unfortunately addiction is a hard to free one self from, and it takes much focus and determination, along with Divine power to overcome. HOw much more is it to do when you have close family members who are also addicted. Prays to the family.

No hate here...back in the 80s, everyone loved the DeBarge's. They were a talented family. I really hope they face up to their demons of childhood physical and sexual abuse and get sober once and for all. I am praying for them.

I really wish these people could battle their addictions, but from reading about their childhoods, I can understand. I blame their mother for allowing all of that shit to go on.
Absolutely the Sins of a Father. It's so sad that their Father abused them to the point of destroying them. Never has there been such a public family breakdown seen.
I feel strongly that one of the DeBarges will leave us this year.
Their mom is a POS for letting the father molest and abuse her children.

A routine visit, so apparently Marc notified his prior to the visit. It doesn't sound like a "gotcha' " moment.

The hotel was probably that persons address since anyone on parole is required to have an address on file with their parole officer. Some people actually live in cheap hotels because their credit and criminal past blocks them from renting apartments. The parole officer came in for a routine surprise visit and if anything illegal is going on they can arrest you.
I also blame the mother for allowing their father/her husband to molest and beat her kids like that. You mean to tell me with all of her brothers and sisters and her parents that she couldnt leave his abusive ass? Bull Shit. She should be ashame of herself for letting that happen.

This is a prime example of an ancestral curse, these two bloodlines the yt and blacks were not in agreement of this mixing of the bloodline, hence the curse and all the kids being fucked up. should have got a reader to read the ancestral issues and advised against this hookup and saved a whole lot of trauma SMH.
