Screw you Brandy having too much fun in the Beyonce thread.

Too Popcorn-ish. Brandy needs to go after the MATURE audience. Instead She’s going after these dumb, dyslexic diarrhea mouthed youths?

no likey

I love it! B-Rockas vocals are nice over any beat. When Brandy put out the Human album it appealed to the mature but she wasnt supported so.....

This.song.is.atrocious.

Why Brandy, Whyyyyy??? You are too damn grown for this bullish*t. What is happening to real r&b?

Anonymous said...

What’s your issue? Are the lyrics too basic for you? Were you expecting Brandy to sing church hyms and do gospel runs and vocal acrobatics? Brandy already TRIED to give ungrateful people like you an album full of substance, meaningful heartfelt lyrics, and transparent vulnerability. It’s called the “Human” album. It came out in December of '08, but hardly any of you bought the album. Brandy is here for the success and the hits this time around. She needs it, and she deserves it. Some of you are acting like Brandy has always done microwave R&B like this. SMH, you all are completely oblivious to the content of her music. She’s never done a song like this. She’s always evolving, changing, and experimenting with her music. You just lost ALL of your credibility.

The ORIGINAL Queen B is back bitches! Deal.

If hardly any of us brought Brandy's "meaningful" album, its prolly because hardly any of us heard about it. I know what Brandy is capable of doing; just because no one bought her last album, doesn't mean she has to sell out to appeal a different audience. There are many timeless artists who wouldn't think of putting crap like this out...so miss me with the bullshit.

@12:14pm YES!!!!!!!!!!

this video sounds more slowed down than the one i heard at first. i wonder which is the real one?

Anonymous said...

My goodness! She sounds really good, but how old is Brandy again? People scared to grow up, huh?

@12:17PM

She put it out and the masses are living. Get the fuck over it. It's your problem that you didn't get HUMAN, not mine. If you don't like the song keep it the fuck moving. Keep in mind that she will give us some vocally dominant tracks as well. She had to put this out to spark interest, it's not "selling out", more so strategy, it's not rocket science. It's working because the internet is a buzz over this single. GET YOUR LIFE BRANDY.

@ 12.08 agree. she going with whats selling. that seems to be what people want these days, so that's what shes doing. i like the song. @12:33 stoooooppppp hatin! brandy is pretty especially in the video with monica. your probably a busted looking beast sitting at home everyday cause nobody wants you.

Anonymous said...

lol...you can tell Chris Brown wrote this song...he's all over this shyt.

#GetItBoi

say what'cha want, but 2012 seems to be the old school artist come back...now somebody need to grab Monica's azz and help her with those beat selections (production) and arrangements (vocal direction)..

@12:40PM

You're right, this is the old school artist comeback era.

Anonymous said...

Hated it!

IAINTMADATCHA said...

@12:24 - thank you for putting me in my place. I'll wait to see how this "stategy" works out for her since her and Monica's "strategy" is working so well. Good luck with that.

She kinda sounds like Rihanna. Or maybe that's my wishful thinking was Rihanna was on the track instead of her. No offense to Brandy, I was just thinking of how Chris did the "Birthday Cake" remix, and how Rihanna did, or was supposed to do a guest appearance on one of his songs.

IAINTMADATCHA said...

Oh..and by the way - It's still crap!

Bee Gee said...

She tryna land that one club banger that'll get her the necessary buzz to get back into the game. Other than the fact that every RnB female think she need a rap cameo on her shit, it's decent. Smh at the rnb songbird Chris Brown cameo-rappin.

12:08...shut the fuck up.

This is some bullshit but i will say that graphic art pic of her looks way better that her jaundice eyed ass could EVER LOOK.

Anonymous said...

I like it. Great workout song. I'll be ripping it from Youtube later.

@ 12:08......Last I checked everyone is entitled to an opinion. Put your big kid pants on and accept it. I loved Never say Never and Human so I am entitled to think this pop sell-out, please the masses song is crap. So keep having a seizure over it if you want.

Anonymous said...

I like it...I like her vocals, the beat & even Breezy's rapping...not anything ground breaking, just a good song to bob to!!!

Anonymous said...

STOP LYING! THIS SONG IS NOT GOING ANYWHERE BUT TRIPLE DIRT.

Anonymous said...

im sorry it don't sound like her,her voice is to deep,i can't even tell her from chris. so full of materialism,i can't get with it!!! she needs to go back to her roots!! brandy,you have nothing to prove,you paid your dues, but boo go back to your roots!!!

Brandy u r a seemingly cool and hard working woman, one of the great pioneers for black artist,that being said Ur r 30+ years old and thus song if for lil kids its straight trash and not on Ur level. Maybe its time to just suck it up and further Ur education and get a real job. Good luck

Anonymous said...

it's just a song folks. It's realy not a big deal. for the record No I didn't care for it but I can see how others might like it (if you are on that kiddie level) But yeah, she is in this to make $$$ so I hope her new album offer a variety for her old and new fans.

Anonymous said...

Also I think her cartoon picture is cute. It looks very realistic actually.

Anonymous said...

She can sing, she doesn't need to make garbage like this. She made much better more mature as a teen; she's going backwards.

Anonymous said...

those of you sayin she needs to put out some mature material, she did that with human, (MR PIANO MAN, ACAPELLA, LONG DISTANCE, ETC) and ya'll broke welfare recipients aint support it so she aiming at the audience that'll actyually PURCHASE her music.

ANYWHO, this song is hot her vocals over the beat is the ish, she aint even need Breezy but I guess his name always help with the audience she's targeting. GO BRAN!

I am loving this song. And I have been rocking with Brandy since day one! Brandy has never disappointed...and she always delivers. Even with this song which is a little more on the commercial side, it still has layers...more than to it that what you might hear in the first, second, or even third listen. And what people fail to realize is that with a career that spans 15 plus years and a crop of new fans that were born in the mid to late 90's, you gotta give the kids what they want too...without losing yourself as an artist...and I feel she has done just that. AND furthermore, it's the first single...geez...it's summer time...I'm looking forward to the album!
