Dr. Dre made history with the groundbreaking Tupac hologram performance at the Coachella Music Festival earlier this month [click here if you missed that], but TLC's T-Boz says she thought of the idea years ago...
Last week T-Boz confirmed reports that TLC was going on tour and incorporating deceased member Lisa 'Left Eye' Lopes' image and vocals into their show [click here if you missed that].
T-Boz tells Essence Magazine,
"I have been trying to get a hologram for years but no one would pay for the budget."
"Fans are happy but it’s a reminder that she’s not here."
"With Lisa, the first three years, I don’t think I could’ve dealt with a hologram, because you see how eerie it is. When I saw the Tupac hologram, it made me feel some kind of way. I had tears in my eyes because he was my friend."

yeah right! liar
if she really wanted to, she could of paid out of pocket, like suge did for tupac.
^^like she has the money to do that...
That sh*t ain't cheap. There a LOTS of WOMEN who have GREAT ideas from the Entertainment Industry to the Corporate World to the Wife and Mother behind the successful Man that either don't have the budget or support to make it happen or just downright don't receive fair credit/acknowledgement or the idea is just stolen from them. It is what it is.
@ 1:23 " LOTS of WOMEN who have GREAT ideas from the Entertainment "
Um what ideas? This shit has been going on in Asia for DECADES. Tboz didnt have any 'great idea".
@1:34 Not the damn hologram. The IDEA to do "Hologram Left-Eye" and add it to their performances....you know what the hell i mean.
Hologram been around for years, they did a Kate Moss one at Alexander McQueen show years ago, and she still alive
So if she saw that and thought wouldn't it be cool to that Left Eye in Hologram then that's not a big deal at all, its not like she thought of the whole Hologram concept herself.
whateves, lets get this show on the road and if the tix is priced right I may go myself
Janet already did this at the Essence Festival. Case closed
Lying ass ho's!! Lisa ain't neva said that shit, if you got a tape with her saying such then okay. but I still say youz a bunch of lying ass ho's.
Don't go chasing waterfalls...nobody wants to hear that tired shit!
Here we go.
certain ones always try and steal peoples ideas and make it big off of you ,thats why they come up with hiddend cameras in peoples homes .if i ever get news of something i will go to my grave with it if i cant do something on my own
What yall talkin' bout. You know Beyonce thought of the Hologram first.
I do remember her talking about the idea of a hologram like in 03 for their then-farewell concert...and then Chilli saying they had to do the alternative option, which was a screen projection of Lisa. It's not totally new, but T-Boz did talk about it way back.
Somebody get her a cookie..
So, they all trying to take credit for something that's basically a Forest Gump, dumb ass idea.
Newsflash to Tboz: girlfriend, nobody checking for TLC these days. We still got leftover CDs and that's good enough. Sit down somewhere.
@ Bee Gee - Yes. Exactly.
Ya'll are some hating ass niggers!!!!! Just because you live in the ghetto does not mean you have to act ghetto and hateful!!! Niggers, niggers, niggers, niggers!!!!!!!! These women have talent and are beautiful unlike you ghetto ass porch monkeys.
I believe her. Anyone Fans who went to the "Fanmail Tour '99" Shows(the ones hat weren't cancelled!) know that that the Group attempted to incorporate the album computer/narrator character "Vick-E" into the show as a digital animation on the big screens. "Vick-E" was conceived and presented at the time to be the honorary "4th" member of TLC for that project. Technowlogy was no where near as capable to pull it off properly back then as it would be today, but they were on to something.
Side note...to me Debra Killings was always the "4th" member to me because she used to do background Vocals and almost ALL of TLC's tracks(especially the Dallas Austin productions, since they worked very close together). I feel like Debra didn't get her Props for being a a HUGE part of TLC's sound back then.
