Pooch Hall, who plays Derwin Davis on BET's the Game, is still giving fans hope that he'll return to the show despite rampant rumors otherwise...
Earlier this month Pooch's onscreen girlfriend Tia Mowry confirmed she was leaving the show amid rumors that she and Pooch had both been let go [click here if you missed that].
Pooch however is still giving fans hope that he will return and was still tweeting as early as this week that things were being worked out that he hadn't been fired from any job since he worked at Little Caesars.

This guy is so unattractive and, why is his hairline connected to his eyebrows? I DVR the Game and I fast forward through the portions with Derwin and Melanie.
What was up with Jason just up and dumping Chardonnay. That didn't make any sense. Just last week they were in love. I just can't with this show. How can you even follow what's going on when every week the plot changes. Now, Jason is going back to Kelly. That's the reason I didn't watch that show in the first place. I am not a fan of interracial dating/marriage.
Who cares! This show has gone downhill since BET and their writers took over. Stick a fork in it, this show is done.

I agree with the comments that the show has gone downhill since BET took over it. I was one of the many on twitter, facebook, and cw signing petitions to keep the show on the air.
I rather watch reruns of seasons 1-3 than watch this foolishness on now. Its not even entertaining and it looks cheap. The storylines doesnt flow and the music sucks. I remember thru seasons 1-3 when they played Maxwell Whenever Whatever, I was like omg let me but that song, it fit so right with the scene when Derwin and Medschool was breaking up

I wouldn't count this as being fired -- maybe more like laid off assuming his exit is due to financial or creative etc etc reasons as opposed to his performance.
Unlike Tia Mowry Pooch needs to keep his job Tia has had fame since child hood and will be alright that is why she said duces to BET Pooch I wish you would just walk away while you can and stop trying to negotiate. Better to leave before BET totally fails. I do not see them around too much longer the control is about to shift. Keep your rep now and work will come don't let a failing show be your downfall. Better yet RUN really fast
I dont see any difference in the show. Malik was working on going broke from day one, Tasha was always a hot-ghetto-can-of-raid, and Melaine was always fickle. What did we expect?

I hate how BET ruined what could have been a really good storyline with Melanie having a baby and let Derwin dote on new baby and torn between two households with his children wife and baby mama. And couldn't they found a prettier Janae? I always found it hard to believe that Derwin fell for her in the first place.
