Nicki Minaj Credits Irv Gotti for Hit Song

Nicki Minaj says Irv Gotti inspired one of her biggest hits, 'Moment for Life...'

In a recent interview Nicki revealed,
"When I was writing my first album, ‘Pink Friday,’ I had a conversation with one of my really good friends, his name is Irv Gotti, and we had this really interesting conversation where he told me ‘enjoy this moment, you’ll never get this moment ever again,’ you’ll never be the ‘new girl on the scene’ ever again, and so I went into the studio. I heard this amazing track, and right there in the moment I kind of wished I could freeze everything that was happening because it just felt so exciting, people were all of a sudden interested in me. As an underground artist, I wasn’t really used to that."
“I just started singing, “I wish that I could have this moment for life.” I went in the booth and started singing it. I never wrote it own. I just felt that’s what the track was saying.”

Last night I watched youtube videos of the Breakfast Club radio show, and that was my VERY FIRST time hearing Nicki Manaj's speaking voice and WTF IS THAT SH*T!
(I don't have cable so no MTV/BET interviews for me)
I am MAD that girl switches through 8 different odd accents in one statement, and I'm mad her music video faces are also her talking interview faces. Geez, she made me think of a crackhead that didn't know what to do with their head, neck, eyes and arms, just AWKWARD and beyond strange.

^ The first time I heard her speak I was like bitch stop trying to sound white. Mothafuckas from trinidad don't talk like that. They have jamaican type accents.

And this is news...why?

@2:04 - "Disappear 4 Life" is right! This gimmick already wore out her welcome just before her 1st album dropped!

Girl whatever. That song sounds like it should been recorded by a Disney kid.

I never understood the hype around this chick.

"ABCDEFG, HIJK - LMNOP - QRS, TUV, W, X, Y and Z." That's what I hear when I listen to her music. I can't understand for the life of me why this chick is famous. I'm sure there are dozens of girls out there who have better rap skills than she does. Shame.

She WAS a decent artist until she went mainstream. Now she is on some wanna-be GaGa shit. Oh well. On to the next one.
