Olivia finally got her deal...
Olivia just signed with Grammy nominated producer Jerry 'Wonda' Duplessis' Wonda Music.
Jerry Wonda has worked with Estelle, Mary J. Blige, Lupe Fiasco and many others.
Olivia plans to drop her new album 'Show the World' some time in the fourth quarter.

If I was an artist i would go the indie route. Big deal= being put on a shelf while they put all the money into another brand. Kind of like a bad relationship waiting for man to treat you right

the label is in financial turmoil, their publishing arm was just sold to sony/atv publishing and the rest of the company is about to be sold off in bits.
while i don't know who's checking for her as an artist, she was smart to aim for another label (an idie is probably the best she can do at this point in her career). otherwise, she woulda' repeated the same history, been left on the shelf to rot while the company fell apart.

Didn't she already say she signed a deal on that show where they all did the sit-down with Mona? Anyway, Olivia needs to realize nobody's checking for her. Appearing on that show did more damage. While she is talented (has a nice voice), her attitude and personality stinks. It turns people off. She has a sense of entitlement. She acts like she's already reached MJ's level and is in a position to make demands.

I know a lot people think she's lame but real talk Olivia can sing and her 1st album was actually good. This is her 3rd chance to be successful in the industry. People rarely get a 2nd chance in entertainment let alone a 3rd chance. There should be no excuses this time. She has to promote and hustle hard to get decent sales. She can make it if she does this correctly.
For the people complaining about the ads on this site, step your technology game up if you are looking this site on a computer. Use Firefox as a web browser and install the add on called Ad Block Plus. I'm using it right now and I don't see any ads.
If you are really a great artist like Jill Scott a good indie can be good. If you are a mediocre artist good luck with that. Jill blew up on an indie but she did not make any money but if you are an established artist you can make more of a windfall off an indie than potentially of a major.
