Pastor Marvin Winans, who this past Sunday instructed the congregation of his Detroit mega-church not to vote for President Obama in the next election because of his stance on same sex marriage, was carjacked at a gas station Wednesday afternoon on Detroit's west side...
According to reports Pastor Winans pulled into a gas station at Davison and Linwood driving a $72k QX56 SUV and wearing a $40k Presidential Rolex watch but left the station with neither of those things plus the robbers tore off his pants.
Pastor Winans told local media he had a bad feeling when he walked into the gas station and noticed several teens giving him the eye but decided to pump his gas anyway.
Native Detroiters wonder what Pastor Winans, who normally travels with bodyguards, was doing alone in that particularly rough part of town.

The issue with the marriage debate is that religion keeps clouding the discussion. If we really have seperation of church and state then there should be no moral discussion. It should be based on the law. Meaning 2 consenting adults not of close family relation should be able to enter into a legally recognized marriage regardless of gender. If the religious right wants to protect religiously ordained marriage then they should be able to as well. Meaning that courts can not force a minister to conduct a gay marriage if he refuses. I thought a church/pastor had to refrain from expressing political views in the pulpit in order to maintain the church's tax exempt status. Guess Winnans missed that memo. What I find interesting, is that "Christian" people want to get all up in arms about Obama's stance on gay marriage, but don't want to check themselves/congregants for committing/participating in activities that are sinful. NEWSFLASH: HOMOSEXULAITY IS NOT THE BIG JOKER OF SINS. THE OTHERS (DECEIT, DIVORCE, ADULTERY, THEFT, PRIDE, GREED, ETC.) ARE UP THERE TOO AND DISPLEASE GOD EQUALLY. Also, and I may get flack for pointing this out, but a lot of conservative Christians consider the Mormon religion to be an occult (i.e., they don't believe in basic Christian principles and/or add other man-made principles to the Bible and faith). Christians intending to vote for Romney for faith-based reasons or due to Obama’s stance on gay marriage should really do some research before they cast their vote.
