Singer Brandy has turned to her longtime friend Tyrese to ease her heartbreak after her marriage crumbled.
The "Moesha" star and R&B singer Tyrese were spotted at L.A.'s popular Dolce restaurant kissing and cuddling, leading to speculation that their "friendship" has grown into a full-blown relationship.
"Brandy and Tyrese looked like they were more than just friends," said a close friend. "They looked like they were trying to catch up on lost time."
Brandy, 24, is still recovering from her split with her music producer husband Robert Smith, 23, with whom she has a 1-year-old daughter, Sy'rai. Insiders say the split was mutual, and that the couple's divorce is not yet final.
Brandy and Tyrese have known each other for over 10 years but lost contact after she got married and started a family.
"They've always had a thing for one another so it's not a surprise that they are hanging out again," the friend said.
"Tyrese never stopped caring for Brandy but did not want to interfere with her marriage."
On a recent night out, the stars attended an intimate dinner in a private room at Dolce.
"As usual, Tyrese was cracking jokes as he kept a tight hold on Brandy's hand and kissed her gently on her cheeks -- and lips -- all night," the friend said. "Brandy had her leg thrown over his and he had his arm around her waist while they sat and had dinner in the cabana.
"It looks like Tyrese is hoping this is his second chance."
