She probably thought it would be fun to make a song but then realized life in the spotlight came with scrutiny and criticsim and didn't like that aspect of it. You know if you think about it, all babies are born self-centered and children remain so.
And they have to be in order to be fed, kept clean, and to be held, otherwise, they would persish.
Once they know that their NEEDS will be met (emotional, physical, etc.) by you, and you get them to a certain stage in life, you can proceed to set boundaries and teach them cooperation. You can teach them that that the world does not revolve around them. But when they NEED you, you will always be there.
I saw the clip where Willow said that she wished her mother had spent more time with her, and you could see the pain in her eyes. I think that Jada and Will may have been so wrapped up in themselves and each other and the kids kind of got left out.
