In an exclusive interview with Gossip Extra Alison explains how it was Chris' idea to have their baby out of wedlock, but that he'd promised her mother and his mother that they would eventually wed.
Alison also says Chris is a totally different person than the man she lived with while he played for the Toronto Raptors.
Alison goes on to explain why she had to apply for Food Stamps and how Chris sued to keep her from taking a role on Basketball Wives, even though it would have made her independent, and says Chris knows full well how bad off she and his daughter are living and still refuses to help.

In the court of law being married or divorce gets you more financial protecting than if not. Say for instant your spouse dies unexpectedly. As the surviving spouse would automatically inherited all assets. If the couple has been living together than the assets would automatically go to the next of kin, i.e. the deceased parents or children. If the two people build and life and have assets together that person would have to go to court and prove this. So if the man bought a car for his girlfriend and the car in his name then the courts would award the car to his family unless the girlfriend has something documented that the car is hers. This happened to my mother. She was dated this old dude and driving his car. Two days after he died his daughter was like hand over the keys. My mother was a bit miff but she knew she had no recourse so she complied. So ladies if you are just living with a guy or having his kids out of wedlock then be prepared to walk away with nothing if he dies, or inherits money or wins the lottery. If you are married at the time of these events, as a spouse you under the law are entitled. If someone tells you different they are lying. Btw, males these laws also apply in reverse.

I'm not sure why it is so difficult to feed a there year old on $2600 a month plus unemployment. Yes, we understand that his fame and money have brought out his worst attributes, but if you were honest with yourself, they were there already. His problem is that he is not an honorable man.
