The curtain falls for the last time on Sister Act starring Raven-Symoné on Broadway this August, nearly three months ahead of schedule...
In her Broadway debut Raven stars as Deloris Van Cartier in the role originated by Whoopi Goldberg in the film version of Sister Act and was expected to run until November 4.
However, after struggling tickets sales, producers decided to pull the plug early.

Well a sister act movie can be funny a play not as engaging. these plays being churned out by hollyweird has become lazy and uncreative. you can do slap dash jobs when it comes to plays, that is the one area you cannot slack on. next time Raven a better play will come along, I would love to see an Othello play, Lawrence Fishburn played the hell out of that role, I just remember him walking on the beach with his rude bwoy walk quoting Shakespeare and I had a moment oh lawd that was one sexy ass scene!! also the lion king play was excellent!! saw it 4 times with my kids.

*Hey sweetie waves* back in the day plays on broad way was the thing, you had to have real acting chops to be cast in a play, they were well written and acted. the sun long since set on hollywierd smh.
