PART 1 I've read all the comments and have A LOT to say, For the most part, I like the show. But then again, it's only been two episodes so I'm hoping they stay classy and don't act like ghetto hoood rats, pulling off shoes, cursing, fighting and acting a damn fool, like the rest of the "reality" TV shows. I do like that the women were at one time, actual WIVES and not baby mamas or jump-offs. I think that they are clearly of a higher class women (in terms of knowing not to act a damn fool in public) given that they married really high profile men, (ie: Eddie Murphy, Will Smith). For example, only a total closet gay loser would "marry" a "bird" like Evelyn. I think that they are all very attractive women, except Eddie's wife, whom I've alway felt had a tranny look, even when they got married back in the 90s. I remember when she was a model and lived in Sacramento because I worked for a major San Francisco advertising agency/store back then and everyone was so excited because she was modeling in the Passport Fashion Show to raise money for AIDS. Everyone thought she was beautiful - except me. She's intelligent and knows how to carry a conversation but she does have a "transgendered" look. I could say more but if I do, I might give myself way. LOL! She's an actual woman though. I do think that it's a shame that she didn't go to college and get her degree during the 17 years that she was married to Eddie. I know she was "having babies" but she could have gone to medical or law school in that amount of time to really establish her career. I'm sure Eddie would have paid for it and helped her out. Black women have babies all the time and go to school and get their education so there's no excuse. But from what I've heard, Eddie told her that if she married him, he wanted her to be at home and be there for him.......no modeling or real career. So I guess she gave up her ambitions to have babies and be a "trophy wife." I will reiterate that she seems laid back and intelligent and has a very pleasant personality and a beautiful figure - but the face, NOT SO MUCH! Sheree is very pretty but I do have a problem with her. I think it's great that she prays all the time but the reality is that if she's truly supporting her husband's ministry, she should be in the same City with him. I'm not saying her husband should be a "tyrant" and force her to live with him, but that's the "Godly and wifely" thing to do. Her place is with her husband. Sherree is not some Oprah Winfrey mogul where she needs to be in a certain place to do her business and away from her husband.
I also have a problem with Sherree even being on the show because she has been divorced from Will for almost 20 years. Their son is 19. Nobody gives a fuck if she's an 'Ex' now..........especially if she's married to someone else. I wonder how her preacher husband feels about her making $ off the Will Smith brand when it's been years since they divorced and he is supposed to be the head of the household? That's pretty disrespecful to me. I do think her son with Will (Trey) will turn out better than Will's kids (Willow and Jaden) with Jada. Will and Jada will regret how they raised those two kids and the regrets will come before those kids turn 18. But that's another thread.

I think that they are all very attractive women, except Eddie's wife, whom I've alway felt had a tranny look, even when they got married back in the 90s. I remember when she was a model and lived in Sacramento because I worked for a major San Francisco advertising agency/store back then and everyone was so excited because she was modeling in the Passport Fashion Show to raise money for AIDS. Everyone thought she was beautiful - except me. She's intelligent and knows how to carry a conversation but she does have a "transgendered" look. I could say more but if I do, I might give myself way. LOL! She's an actual woman though.
I do think that it's a shame that she didn't go to college and get her degree during the 17 years that she was married to Eddie. I know she was "having babies" but she could have gone to medical or law school in that amount of time to really establish her career. I'm sure Eddie would have paid for it and helped her out. Black women have babies all the time and go to school and get their education so there's no excuse.
But from what I've heard, Eddie told her that if she married him, he wanted her to be at home and be there for him.......no modeling or real career. So I guess she gave up her ambitions to have babies and be a "trophy wife."
I will reiterate that she seems laid back and intelligent and has a very pleasant personality and a beautiful figure - but the face, NOT SO MUCH!
Sheree is very pretty but I do have a problem with her. I think it's great that she prays all the time but the reality is that if she's truly supporting her husband's ministry, she should be in the same City with him. I'm not saying her husband should be a "tyrant" and force her to live with him, but that's the "Godly and wifely" thing to do. Her place is with her husband. Sherree is not some Oprah Winfrey mogul where she needs to be in a certain place to do her business and away from her husband.
I also have a problem with Sherree even being on the show because she has been divorced from Will for almost 20 years. Their son is 19. Nobody gives a fuck if she's an 'Ex' now..........especially if she's married to someone else.
I wonder how her preacher husband feels about her making $ off the Will Smith brand when it's been years since they divorced and he is supposed to be the head of the household? That's pretty disrespecful to me.
I do think her son with Will (Trey) will turn out better than Will's kids (Willow and Jaden) with Jada. Will and Jada will regret how they raised those two kids and the regrets will come before those kids turn 18. But that's another thread.

I do like Andrea Kelly. I really wish Black women didn't have such a self hatred for ourselves that we fall for the white standards of beauty and put our brown and darker sisters down.
I find it interesting that we, as Black women have become so used to these dumb Black athlete and entertainers dating and marrying non-Black women, that when they actually marry a Black woman, who looks like the rest of us (ie: brown skinned and/or with short hair, we tear her to shreds, like people are doing with Andrea and Ushers' wife and make personal attacks about their looks. We find them "ugly" and "unattrative" because they don't look like Kim Kardashian. But then we complain about brothas "showcasing" these non-Black women and putting them on a pedastal.
Sistahs, please, let's love one another and stop the madness. I swear some of us are fucking psychotic!
Nothing wrong with Andrea except her gay best friend. No offense to gays. I'm around them everyday and have some in my family. But if you want to meet a real man for a relationship, you can't be a "fag hag." Have your gay friends but you can't do evey thing together. I know I'll get "blasted" for that but that's the truth. Andrea is very attractive and her short hair is very nice looking. Her figure is beautiful for ANY AGE!
The white girl, (can't remember her name) is a little too crass for me. Some things, (ie: anus and vaginal bleaching or rejuvenatin or whatever the hell it was) should not be for public consumption.
I expect her to get a little buck wild. I remember my Black Psychology teacher tell the class back when I was in undergrad, "If you ever want to know what white people really feel about Black people, go to 'Happy Hour' and give them some drinks." Her comments about Black men and oral sex and vaginas came out because she had been drinking. I expect her to get really crazy on the show.
I do like the fact that she has a career and seems to be successful and takes care of her daughter.
Lastly, Mayte seems to be very nice. However, she won't find a man with all those damn animals and her mom living that close to her. Plus, there are too many "memories/artifacts" of Prince and that's a hard act to follow.
What I don't like about Mayte is that she really wants that "rock star lifestyle and will date anyone to stay in it.
The fact that she was willing to marry Tommy Lee, who we know has publicly admitted (via his ex-wife Pamela Anderson) that he has hepetitis C, let's me know that she'll sacrifice her health to be in that environment.
I would NEVER, EVER date, have sex with or marry a man who had hepititis C, just because he was a famous rock star. I don't want to be in that lifestyle that badly. I'd rather work a regular job and be disease free.
But not Mayte. You can tell from her simple home that she didn't get a lot of $ from Prince or maybe she got a settlement and is tight with her $ to make it last which is smart. But she's thirsty to get back fully into the life. I can tell.

I didn't read all of you rant but I did read the part that there is a 'self hate' because Andrea Kelly is unattractive. I think you have self hate becasue no one said she was unattractive because of her skin color. It's her face. I for one, who mentioned earlier that I find her unattractive LOVE DARK SKIN so miss me with that self hate crap. Tika Sumpter is dark skin is gorgeous and so is Malaysia Pargo another beautiful brown skin. Nia Long is stunning and brown skin so is Sanaa Lathan. All of the women I mentioned are NOT mixed and brown or dark skin and very attractive. So where exactly is this self hate you speak of? Andrea Kelly is not attractive to me PERIOD.
^ People always quick to make 'beauty' about skin color when it is about features period. I think Nicole is pretty and would have had a career as a model because she has peculiar features i.e very tall and fit, blue eyes and tanned skin, etc. Oh and add Gabrielle Union to that list although I don't like her.
