I don't know what's going on, I think it's a lot more to this story then the media is covering which leaves one open to speculations and assumptions. Marlon, Jackie and Latoya did not have their signatures on that document. So whatever is going on, Janet, Jermaine and Randy appears to not have wanted the others in the know or to go against the plan. It could very well be a situation where he tried to contact Katherine and they were blocking the contact. Let's not assume all the Jacksons are shady or into shady stuff. Ok, according to various news reports-all this drama is because some family members (Janet, Jermaine, Rebbie, etc) believe that the executors of the estate John Branca and John McClain forged a will that put Michaels assets in a trust overseen by only them for the benefit of charitable causes, his kids and his mom. They believe the funds are being mishandled. These guys want to remain in complete control of the estate even though Katherine has repeatedly asked to be more involved in decisions. The previous will also left nothing to the siblings but didn't have these 2 jerks overseeing everything. The family just wants these two replaced and want their mother on board for the fight. It's a shame that this drama is playing out for the world to see when these people are just trying to protect the kids from being penniless by the age of 18. Executors rip people off all the time claiming "charitable contributions" when the money is really padding their lavish lifestyles.

Like another poster said this isn't abnormal. I come from a large family with about the same dynamics as the Jacksons (except we aren't musicians and aren't rich). There are so many of us that often 3 or 4 of my siblings will plan something and not alert other siblings for different reasons. Sometimes they assume that someone else told the others. Or they know that this sibling or that sibling would not agree to it. We have also had to hide our mother from one of our brothers because he would always drop his kids off at her house without a pamper, milk, change of clothes. Leave them there for 2 weeks.
I can understand how Marlon feels. My mother went into the hospital once for a week and no one told me she was there. I'd call her house and no answer. It wasn't until I talked to a sister who told me where she was after she'd been there for a week. They had no reason not to tell me other than someone else thought another sibling told me. Something about this whole mess stinks from my opinion and experience in being in a large family. There are too many variables going on. It's as if everyone had their own motive and decided to work together to get to it but decided to leave certain siblings out because they knew they wouldn't go along. My guess is they knew that if Marlon and Jackie got a hold of their mother they would be able to talk her out of it. Mainly Jackie because he's the oldest son. Marlon is very emotional and often gets to crying so I'm sure they knew Marlon would turn on the water works and Katherine would come home.
While you all are rabble rousing Tito, Jackie, Marlon, and Jermaine are still going to perform at a concert tomorrow....at least that's what they're saying. I'm sure the fiasco will help them sell tickets.

I was watching CNN this morning during my lunch break. Both anchors commented on how ironic it is that the very thing MJ shielded his children from, they are engaging in and full force. You can tell both anchors were giving side eyes to their actions and wanted to give their opinions of how wrong it was, but they kept it cute in order to remain objective. Those teens are DEAD WRONG. It has netted almost half a billion and is worth an estimated billion or more. He is the highest earning dead celebrity. That is hardly mismanagement. Regardless, the charitable contributions will remain at 20% which is what Michael wanted.
