This movie was about southern woman from Louisiana and there trials an tribulations in life...I don't think they captured the essence of the original movie ... and i did not here any southern speaking. They should have changed it up a bit an filmed it in New Orleans .

I began looking for African based pages because I have loved a what I thought was Africa. But I have yet to see it in reality. It's funny because I only watched the first one because nothing else was on tv at the moment but it ended up becoming a favorite of mines.
The original, really is a FORCE to be reckoned with - say what you will; white/black, don't matter. This re-make, well I'll DVR it and peep it at a later point; though I will say that Alfre Woodard as "Wheezer" - SWEET JESUS, she may be the ONLY reason I watch.
