"Chris is just confused about Rihanna's decision to bring up the past again and again — this time in an interview with Oprah," a source tells Radar. "Rihanna has previously given wide ranging interviews about the beating to Diane Sawyer and several print magazines. Chris just doesn't think it's productive or relevant to rehash the events since essentially nothing new is being revealed in the interview Rihanna has done with Oprah. Chris doesn't begrudge Rihanna at all for talking about it but he thinks that in order for them to both move forward and not be defined by that one night, it would be better to stop bringing it up."Rihanna's interview airs on Oprah's Next Chapter this Sunday at 9 pm on OWN.

I'm also sure that Rihanna is in a position where she can REFUSE to answer or discuss certain questions/topics, even if it means having the interviewer say, "Well, if you're not going to talk about Chris Brown, the interview's a no-go."
Even if she was given no indication of what the interview would be like, I'm certain she would KNOW that Chris Brown would be brought up and she could just as easily REFUSE to talk about him by saying "No comment", or "I've said all I needed to say on that topic."
