Island of St. Maarten Suing Chad and Evelyn

The government of St. Maarten cut Chad Johnson and Evelyn Lozada a big fat check for the privilege of hosting their reality show wedding, providing the nuptials aired on television in the U.S.

So guess what? Now that Chad and Eve's reality show is canceled, St. Maarten wants their money back...

Chad and Evelyn pocketed a cool $90,000 for their made-for-TV wedding that was expected to boost tourism to the tiny Caribbean isle.

Their reality show, Eve and Ocho, was scheduled to air in the U.S. on September 3rd but was abruptly canceled after Chad headbutted Eve in a real life argument over a condom receipt.

And that's not all.

The cancellation set off a government scandal in St. Maarten because, as it turns out, several Council Ministers pushed the Eve and Ochco deal through Parliament without the approval of the Prime Minister and are thought to have received kickbacks!
