Men are abused everyday. Why is there a stigmata when it comes to domestic violence towards men!

Believe it or not, I have been in police stations when dudes came in for domestic violence, gay and straight dudes the response from the cops was to laugh at them. most men are ashamed of it being known they are battered by their mates, which is why for the most part it goes unreported till this heiffa try's to off his ass, then he ain't got no choice but to sic the po po on that ho.
I think he hit her no doubt. I also think she was part of the confrontation. No man should hit a woman.
Some women today strike men. Yes women do. I have two brothers and the women they deal with have issues.
I have guy friends who say "if you hit me first I will hit you back". People acknowledge the fist first. Body language and voice tone is a good indicator.
I'm kinda of over hearing about this chick. I understand using the platform you have to send out a message but damn she beat the dead horse way too many times to come out w/this afterward. She should've stated that she was abused by someone who stole from her and then came out with this instead of constantly going back and forth w/ppl on it. K. Michelle sit your ass down pls

Exactly my point. Most men don't go to the police. There was a Lifetime movie with Judith Light (Who's the Boss) that was beating the crap out of her husband. Everyone laughed at him. He called Women in Distress, they told him that that line wasn't for prank calls - they were there to help women who are abused by their husbands. Really, I guess the number of women in jail doesn't prove just how violent women have become.
So she's against violence against women unless it's her who's committing the violent acts?!... She's against abuse but then turns around and says shes gonna slap toya on sight?! I've seen her on the show she is the type to get it popping calling people names throwing stuff, swinging and hitting, I believe she probably did that with memphitz and dared him to touch her, and the second he did she cried foul.
I'm all for people telling their stories but remember there is always two sides to every story.
To me, she IS violence.
If that is going to be her platform, fine... But she needs to change that attitude of hers if she wants to be taken seriously....her mouth makes you want to put your fist in it!
I saw that movie that you're speaking of. He wouldn't provoke her at all she was just crazy. His dad used to beat his mom. The only thing that saved him from going to jail was the daughter telling what happened.
All I know is that I didn't even know who she was talking about until MempNOhitz started denying and explaining; Me thinks if he had just stayed quiet...
I'm all for peace and unity but Toya and hubby might need to tag team this chick.

I would expect your delusional brain dead ass to come with that response, if men reported their abuse at the hands of women at the rate the women did, you would see it's about even, my first husband used to beat my ass, so when I let him and married my second husband, guess what all that rage of having my ass beat, I used to beat the shit out of my second husband, who was a lovable drunk would never hit me, that nigga would go to work with black eyes and fat lips, I was arrested by the cops for domestic violence when my neighbors called the cops one night, I was acting like I was on bath salts, I had to attend anger management for a whole year and pay restitution in that class, you guess it their were 25 other women in their all for beating their husbands and boyfriends ass, I got help in therapy for my ragoholic issues and my husband never pressed charges, to this day that man still hates my guts, while I did go back years later and apologize he never quite got over being married to demon from the pits of hell, so shut yo ass up with men don't get beat like women. they just don't wanna be laughed out the damn police station or his boy's calling him all kinds of punk ass nigga.
K. Michelle is not famous. How many records has she sold. I didn't even know who she was? Probably in Memphis? LOL

K Michelle; I like K Michelle on the show but she needs to check her emotions. Other than her and the person that beat her know what TRULY happened. I know its only natural that a wife would want to defend her husband but if Toya wasn't the man's wife at the time that the incident happened, she needs to keep a closed mouth while grabbing some sit down. She need to be very careful about what she co-signs to, husband or not.
If K Michelle is promoting awareness about violence against women, she no longer needs to answer Toya or anyone else about what happened to her; she already addressed it once and needs to let it be that.

all jokes aside domestic violence is a real issue. My question is did she report it and if not why? And was Memphiz ever her man? If not, why did she allow him to beat her? Meaning that assault shoulda Been reported.

I had a similar situation and so did one of my relatives. Both of us were dating women who had been in abusive relationships before. One my ex-girlfriends told me about the abuse she had suffered and showed me the scars AFTER she had a pstd episode. I couldn't believe someone did that to her. But it was true.
My relative's ex girlfriend attacked him one day off of some pstd from a prior boyfriend.
People need to understand that there is a cycle.
While the rate of men abusing women is higher, because men tend to be stronger and more aggressive, plenty of women turn their physical anger on the men in their lives, husbands and sons.

Right back at you, your right sons also suffer from this type of rage from their mothers too, interesting to note my first husband often had a lot of rage, behind how is mother used to treat him because his daddy used to beat her ass, she took it out on him, vicious cycle but we are in an age, where folks with issues if they so choose, have a wealth of support systems to heal confront and deal with these issues and ultimately allow the healing to take place.

If he did put his hands on her he should have gone to jail, so why didn't she report it to the police? Ok time has passed and it's her word against his on the assault but K MIchelle what about you suing him in court for the money that you say that he stole. There is no limit of statute for theft if you have proof that you have been actively trying to get it back. Come on Sister get on your money situation, don't go back and forth with his wife. If he did put the whooping on you like you said, trust and believe she will soon enough find out what it's like to be with him. Don't keep on going back and forth with her it just makes you look bitter and crazy. And after awhile no one will want to hear what you have to say about the matter.

Speak on it. I find that women who are raising black sons tend to have a better understanding of all sides of what black men are dealing with.
Vicious cycles. Generational curses. I wish my ex had taken time out from dating after her abusive boyfriend to get right in the head. The first year of our relationship was a real struggle, like a Cold War, because she still had that anger even though dude was long gone. After a while I gave up and moved on. Let someone else did with that.
Anyway back on topic, K. Michelle's talking about ending domestic violence but saying she would beat another woman off of words? Silly hypocrites. Shame she has all of that talent but is a genetic hoodrat.

The only people that actually knows what happened between the two of them is the two of them and God. After working in my field for twenty plus years I can honestly say that SOMETHING happened. What that is, I do not know. I will not however, try to dismiss or diminish her claims because of who he is or who he is married to. I will however give him the benefit of the doubt. He may not be the person he was long ago but being the Woman that I am and seeing the things I've seen, I would NEVER EVER SAY it did not happen. For anyone to dismiss her claims because they know him or his wife is a disservice to anyone that has been in the same situation. Life is different for everyone. The worst thing about someone in power is they take advantage of the people giving it to them.
