According to TMZ when Mariah got the call that Nicki Minaj would be joining the judges panel MiMi hung up in the the callers face!
Insiders say Mariah's beef is that she was lead to believe she would be the only female on the panel and is not pleased about having to share the spotlight.

Idol executives are trying desperately to find ways of getting canceled and hiring a non talented hack like Garbaj should do the trick.
It's a mess; this was done to stir up some drama. It has nothing to do with sharing the spotlight; when you've got the love of your kids and husband and millions in the bank, who needs the drama. Nikki is in no position to be judging talent; clearly she is deficient in this area; she's a gimmick and that will never change; she aint' never said nothing in her raps; her voice annoying and she got no flow; she got costumes and a big fake butt; how does that equal talent??~~~I don't care she makes money; shoot many people have ill gotten gains!!! check history . . . don't make me go there!!

Mariah a true diva by definition. Nicki is good enough to put out a song with, but not good enough to sit in her graces. It's all bullshit for publicity. Whateva.
