A flyer advertising the event at New Birth Baptist Church lists ticket prices at $25 for adults and $10 for children and asks that you BYOF [Food].
A far cry from lavish events held in the past by the Lithonia mega church that bases its teachings on the prosperity gospel.
New Birth was rocked by scandal last year after Bishop Eddie Long was forced to settle sexual misconduct lawsuits brought against him by five young men [click here if you missed that]

I have never in my life been invited to a BYOF event. Think about it. Your church might have a pitch in where everyone makes a dish for others to share but "BYOF" implies that you make your own food for just your family or yourself.
Then on top of that; how do you have a BYOF event and charge people to get in. It's being held at the church so one has to assume that the mortgage has already been paid. It's not like you're renting and event hall and have to pay them. WTF is the $25/$10 going for?
