She is at rock bottom, and is too prideful to realize it. The top producers and writers are too scared to collaborate or work with her on her new projects for fear of catching some of the backlash. Funny this post mentioned Ciara. Keri's career is headed in the same direction as Ciara's...down the toilet. I think both ladies suffered from some weird image or identity crisis as artists. They both came on the scene one way and then flipped the script too early in their careers. That is career suicide. People don't know how to market you and fans don't know what to expect. Keri had some promise. I wished she would have stayed R&B instead of morphing into a trashy, pop princess. What works for Beyonce and Rihanna clearly doesn't work for everybody.

I don't like Beyonce, but even I know that you can NOT try to talk slick about Bey without having some talent/skills of your own to outshine her! Keri making critical statements about Beyonce would be like Ke$ha throwing shade at Britney Spears.
A lot of these artists have misguided managers and other people who think all you have to do is have a pretty face and a skimpy outfit to sell units and make money.

Sorry, but this is all Bey and camp's doing. Keri is a talented songwriter, even wrote Bey's verse on the usher track. I believe this considering she came out working with the top artists like Usher, Neyo and funny enough, she collaborated with Kanye, who was feeling her a great deal. Kanye is obviously down with the "beehive" and camel kingdom. I hate to see this happen to anyone, because it shows that the industry is not about talent, but big names and who has false power. Keri may struggle now, but in the long run, Bey and camp will pay for a lot of shit they've done and covered up.

Why do people act as if Keri has written these LEGENDARY or chart topping classics? It's not like she's Diane Warren or something.
Her second album was a step back from the first. She lost a huge chunk of her danbase with that "The Way You Fuck Me" song & another chunk when she redid the Chris Brown/Ciara BET performance shot for shot in her One Night Stand video.
She she Ciara are interchangeable to me. Slow Dance & One Night Stand among many other sound Ciara-esque. Not to say Ciara is innovative. But she's cornered the market on that Almost superstar/borderline mediocre lane.
That "Turnin' Me On" song certainly didn't help, but the fact that Keri is a walking definition of the term "basic bitch" is what REALLY put the brakes on her career. There's nothing remarkable about her looks, talent, or personality that would make her jacked-up attitude a little easier to take.
For instance, I think Christina Aguilera is a huge bitch, but she CAN sing, and her fans seem to be more into her singing ability than her personality, whereas Britney's fans seem to overlook her lack of talent because they like her personality. Basically, you have to have SOMETHING to get/keep people interested in you, or else you just get lost in the shuffle and forgotten about.

I believe that she was blacklisted as well. The minute someone doesn't ride the, "Beyonce Train", you're immediately looked upon as a "hater", "jealous", etc. Everyone is not going to like Beyonce. She's not going to be everyone's cup of tea at the end of the day. It doesn't mean that you hate her or are jealous of her. She's just not your cup of tea. Period. You like what you like, and that's it. No further explanations needed. Keri may have her reasons why she doesn't like Beyonce, but what messed her up, was the WAY that she made her feelings known in public about it. There was no reason for her to broadcast it to the public the way that she did. This is what made her come across as a "hater" or "jealous" of Beyonce. I think she's a pretty good songwriter and I hope that she can get back on her feet soon.
