From what I understand, she did initially agree to an almost 50/50 split. He was to have the kids 12 days out of the month, she would have them 16 and the holidays would be divided.

For example, truck drivers go on drives that take them away from home for days or weeks at a time, and people in the military get deployed and are away for months at a time. Some parents aren't away from home, but they work two shifts; I guess we should count them, too, as being away from the children.
People have to go to work, and most people I know who are working work hard and they work long hours. It really is an issue of the quality of the time parents and children spend together and the quality of the children's care.

When I was getting divorced from my son's father, my attorney told me that when the children are young, primary custody is typically awarded to the mother UNLESS she's proven unstable/unfit. In my case, I proved with medical evidence that his father suffered from recurring depression b/c he wouldn't take his medication regularly, among other issues, so I was given sole custody. He still gets the standard visitation access to school and medical records, etc., but he resides with me and cannot change school enrollment, give permission for surgery, take him out of state without prior notice. etc. From what I've seen of Tameka, she was being petty, bitter and vindictive and probably didn't follow a lot of the judge's orders/suggestions, so the father was given the custody rights. If she didn't heed her attorney's warnings or have enough sense to act like an adult, it was for the best as far as the children. Do I like seeing another mother suffer back-to-back losses? Of course not. But a lot of these wounds are self-inflicted and Tameka needs to stop licking them in public and get her act together. Money can only get one so far.

Don't recall reading the name of the man pulling Tameka's son Kyle behind the boat. Still it was reckless behavior and Usher should fear for the safety of his two sons if Tameka allowed one of her male companions to exhibit this kind of behavior that led to the tragic death of her son. So glad Usher got custody of his sons since he has the ability to support them. People have a problem with a mother losing full custody of her kids, yet fathers sometimes good fathers lose full custody of their kids everyday and yet no one has a problem with it, as a matter of fact it's looked at as the norm. Fathers have just as much rights to their kids as mothers. Obviously for one reason or another the court felt like the kids would be better off with their father.
