Rumors are circulating that after 12 years on the air BET's 106 and Park is shutting down...
According to reports the last air date for 106 would be Friday September 21.
Too bad BET President Stephen Hill says the rumors aren't true.
Current hosts Rocsi Diaz and Terrence J announced back in May they would be leaving the show.

Speaking of Teen Summit, whatever happened to Ananda Lewis? She came out here to LA and did the morning show on 92.3 when it was still "The Beat" with John Salley's extra corny ass for a minute back in the early 2000's (I HATE John Salley) but after that, and her talk show, I haven't heard anything from her.
I wonder who else remembers when Aunt Viv was on there and the topic was safe sex and she keep encouraging kids to masterbate and had him looking all kinds of uncomfortable and shit LMAO! She just had this plastered smile on her face and kept saying masterbate, masterbate and I was like 16 just crackin' up!

they apparently didn't ask question the right way. when you want to know what's going on with any situation, 90% of the time u shouldn't ask a closed ended question (yes/no). you have to ask who, what, when, where, or how. His explanation would be the tell all.

They aren't shutting down. I wish Snitch would do her research before reaching for some stars. It just shows that most of this blog's news is speculative. 106&P has been doing a talent search for the greater part of the summer. They're looking for fresh new talent to take Terrence and Rocsi's places. If you tune in you'll see two different hosts hosting the show everyday. I think they've selected I want to say the top 10-20 and are narrowing it down to 2.

@Hottness Ananda is great! She married Will Smiths brother and had kids. She was always one that said she wanted a family She didn't let Hollywood get the best if her. 106 should call it a wrap the host they are showcasing are ALL terrible they look like average Joe wanna be and I am sure BET will be paying them nothing to do the job. Terrence will do very well. After all he got a top model and secured Ryan Secress role Roci, I don't think we will hear much about her but I still wish her well. As for Aj and Free they are too old to keep the younger audience entertained. But BET should def try something new because this hosting competition is tired.
